  • MVictors recently interviewed Nick Sheridan. It is a great read, as Sheridan provides insight into a variety of topics. Nice work on the interview, Greg.
  • Over 1,000 student season tickets have been sold for the 2009-10 basketball season. After the Duke win, it was guaranteed that sales would be up this year. Once the team made the tournament and won a game, though, you could just sense that the bandwagon was filling up. Couple last season's success with the inclusion of an option to buy basketball tickets on the football tickets application and the future looks promising. Last season less than 500 tickets were sold, and when all is said and done, next season's total could very well quadruple that number.
  • C.J. Lee is one of the Michigan Daily's students of the year.
  • The spring game won't actually be Michigan's last practice until the summer. One more will be held next Tuesday to close out the spring.
  • Darryl Stonum was sentenced to 12 months probation for his DWI charge. Here are the details of what his probation entails:

As part of the probation, District Judge Julie Creal ordered Stonum to attend substance abuse education and a Mothers Against Drunk Driving Victims Impact Panel.

Stonum was required to pay funds and costs of $815, probation oversight fees of $240 and a University Department of Public Safety fee of $100.

Stonum was also ordered to complete three days of the Washtenaw County Jail Community Work Program.

Hopefully he learns from his mistake so we don't hear his name in the news again for a crime.
  • Former Michigan cornerback and current Cincinnati Bengal Leon Hall is unfortunately in the news for having trouble with the law. He was arrested early Sunday morning for drunken driving. His BAC was 0.149, well above the legal limit. He is the first Bengals player to be arrested in almost a year.
  • Denard Robinson's recent 10.28 in the 100-meter dash probably isn't accurate. It seems like it's only a matter of time until he does run a time that fast, though.
  • If you want to play in the NHL, go to Michigan.
