Houston Texans tight end Joel Dreessen visited with the Bengals earlier this week during his free agency tour, which has included stops in New Orleans (before all of that happened) and Tennessee. According to John McClain with the Houston Chronicle, Dreessen is visiting with the Denver Broncos on Thursday, where wide receiver Andre Caldwell followed hall of fame quarterback Peyton Manning.

Cincinnati is obviously in the market to add to their tight end depth with Bo Scaife (season-ending injury during the preseason last year) and Donald Lee hitting free agency. Currently the Bengals only have two tight ends signed into 2012 in Jermaine Gresham and Colin Cochart.

Joel Dreessen Heads Home

The Houston Texans lost another key piece to their 2011 playoff team, with tight end Joel Dreessen signing with the Denver Broncos. It was a 3-year deal worth $8.5 million dollars, and he went into Friday choosing between the Texans offer and the Broncos. The Colorado State alum returned to where he played his college and high school football. Dreessen posted one his best statistical...

Bengals Finally Get Going

Over the weekend, my frustration was beginning to mount as many teams made free agent moves while the Bengals sat idle. Well, the Bengals’ front office have finally found first gear and have begun to pile a few free agents into Mike Brown’s mighty Ford Fiesta. I wouldn’t call free agency a big win as [...]

DeMeco Ryans Thrilled To Be An Eagle

"I can sense that everyone has been looking for that middle linebacker, and I’m happy to be the guy that they chose to step in and be the middle linebacker of this defense," Ryans said. "I’m just looking to step in and do my job. How the fans view it or not, I’m going to be myself and do what I do on the field. I’m not going to be someone that I’m not and...

Green-Ellis Bound For Cincy?

The Bengals are reportedly finalizing a deal for running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Fantasy Spin: The Patriots were interested in re-signing Green-Ellis, but apparently is getting a better deal with Cincinnat - but a boost in carries is not guaranteed if Cedric Benson departs, as the Bengals could still add a promising running back early in Aprils Draft, such as David Wilson. And...

Bengals safety Chris Crocker blasts Hines Ward for trying to end people’s careers

On Tuesday, Hines Ward announced his retirement with an emotional speech during which he pronounced himself a Steeler for life. To many, Ward epitomizes the way the wide receiver position should be played. He did more than just catch 1,000 passes, reel in 85 touchdowns and win two Super Bowls during his 14-year career in Pittsburgh. Ward also played the game with the toughness of...
