Tiki Barber and Michael Strahan did not have the closest of relationships when they were teammates for the New York Giants, but both clearly had respect for what the other could do on the football field. Barber was the offensive leader for the Giants, and Strahan was the star on the defense. So it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see Tiki come to the defense of Strahan following the comments made by Warren Sapp where he said that his former teammate, Simeon Rice, belonged in the Hall of Fame before the great Giants defensive end. “Warren’s an idiot,” Barber said, according to the New York Post. “He just wants to say things to be idiotic. I played with Stray for my whole career. He is the greatest of the great. He is a great teammate, he kept things light, but on game day he was as serious as a heart attack, and it showed in his play.” Sapp said that Rice didn’t put up the numbers that Strahan did because he played against right tackles, and not the left tackles like Rice.
