Washington Redskins: Projected 2012 Starting Lineups
QB: Robert Griffin III (rookie)
HC Mike Shanahan has already told the media that Griffin would be the starter from day one and that he will be doing things from that quarterback position that people have not seen before. He has the tools around him with a solid running game, and a young group of ball catchers. The ceiling is high for the former Heisman Trophy winner.
RB: Roy...
Redskins re-sign Tim Hightower
The Redskins have re-signed Tim Hightower, the man who started the 2011 season as their #1 back, to an undisclosed contract. Still just 26, I’m surprised Hightower lasted as long as he did on the open market, even after a major knee injury ended his 2011 season short. Hightower was solid as a starter for Washington last year and before that was a great 3rd down back in Arizona...
Tim Hightower will return to the Washington Redskins in 2012
WASHINGTON D.C.—The Redskins have decided to give RB Tim Hightower another look after his 2011 season was cut short. He started five games before tearing his ACL.
The Skins spent the off-season loading up on aerial weapons for the new face of their franchise Robert Griffin III, but they did not make an impact splash for him in the backfield.

A tale of two teams: How the 2012 NFL Season will shape the future of the Redskins
In which the author looks at two very different futures for the Washington Redskins, one at a time. A quick note: this piece is meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. The crystal ball would obviously state that the future of the Washington Redskins lies somewhere in between these two extremes. The Redskins have never picked higher than they just did for RG3 at any point in the...
Tim Hightower looking to contribute to Redskins cause in 2012
Tim Hightower was the big high profile accquisition by the Washington Redskins in 2011 and the future was certainly looking bright at the running back posistion for the Burgandy and Gold. Hightower got off to a quick start in the preseason and would start in five of the six games that he played in but

Tim Hightower will be a Washington Redskins again in 2012.
Tim Hightower has finally agreed to return to the Washington Redskins for the 2012 season, according to a report by the Washington Post, taking a seemingly clear running back situation into a typical Shanahanian cluster that fantasy football owners live to hate.
Hightower was fairly productive in his first and only...
Washington Redskins Re-Sign Tim Hightower, But Evan Royster Deserves Start
Tim Hightower re-signs with the Washington Redskins at what could be their best season yet when it comes to depth.
This is round two for Hightower, who played in five games for the Redskins last season. He carried the ball 84 times for 321 yards and one touchdown and made 10 catches for 78 yards and one touchdown. However, with a torn ACL in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers,...
Redskins Resign Hightower
The Washington Redskins resigned free-agent running back Tim Hightower today. The 25-year-old back is expected to compete with Roy Helu and Evan Royster for snaps this season.

Redskins team analysis: 8 wins should be expected, should not be enough to save the coaching staff
Whether it was officially expressed or not, the Redskins made a somewhat unexpected committment to the ways of the past two years when they allowed Mike Shanahan to pick the team's 2012 quarterback, which he did by trading every first round pick the Redskins had while he was under contract to move up and select Robert Griffin III. Observers around the trade were pretty convinced...
