New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow claims that he’s improved as a passer this offseason, which may not be a good thing for current starter Mark Sanchez. “I’ve been working pretty hard at doing that,” said Tebow, per ESPN.com. “I feel like I had a good offseason before I got here, and being here and working with Coach Sparano and working with Mark [Sanchez] and working with Coach [Cavanaugh] on our drills and footwork and mechanics every day, I hope I’m improving. That’s my goal and I believe it’s happening.” If Tebow was able to fix his poor mechanics and improve his accuracy, he could be one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the NFL and Sanchez should start worrying about his starting job.

Tim Tebow changed his dog’s name to ‘Bronx’

It’s official: Tim Tebow’s allegiance now lies with New York. The new Jets quarterback told the media on Thursday that he changed his dog’s name from Bronco to Bronx after being traded. Tebow got the pooch — a Rhodesian Ridgeback — in October 2010. He seemed to be sucking up to the local crowd by naming his pup Bronco back then. He chose “Bronx” as the new name for...

According to a spokesperson from the E!, the network will air a half-hour special devotedly solely to the New York Jets quarterback sometime in July.

Tim Tebow changes his dog’s name to Bronx

Tebowmania is taking over New York, and not even canines are safe. In an attempt to fully embrace his new team, Tim Tebow is changing his dog’s name to “Bronx.” Tebow got the Rodesian Ridgeback in 2010, during his rookie season and named  him  “Bronco” after the franchise.  After acquiring Peyton Manning in the off season, the Denver Broncos traded Tebow for a four...

Tim Tebow will be on a special for E! this summer

"I don't know why I'm famous!" In what appears to be a never ending quest for the public to learn everything there is about Tebow that has nothing to do with football, E! has announced that they will be airing a 30-minute special with him as the main focus. Unfortunately they won't be asking him questions about why he can't throw a spiral but focus...

Tebow works exclusively at quarterback

Tim Tebow says he has worked exclusively at quarterback as Mark Sanchez's backup during the early portion of the New York Jets' offseason program, and is ''just trying to learn the offense.'' Coach Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano have said Tebow, acquired from Denver in March, could have extensive playing time for the Jets in various roles...

So Tim Tebow changed his dog’s name

Tim Tebow will change his dog’s name from Bronco to Bronx. #nyj — Manish Mehta(@TheJetsStream) May 10, 2012 Apparently Tim Tebow could not deal with the psychological trauma of having his identity being ripped away by his master, so he took it out on his dog in similar fashion. Poor puppy.

Jets Only Working Tim Tebow At QB So Far

Tim Tebow is solely a quarterback for the moment. Tebow said Thursday he has not worked at any positions other than quarterback so far during the Jets offseason program. There have been reports the Jets plan to use him at tight end or H-back as well as a running back. Tebow said he is open to anything. "I always put team first, and whatever they want me to do, they know I’ll...

Jets locker room already a circus

Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends. May is typically a quiet month in NFL circles, but for the Jets, the attention surrounding Tim Tebow made life at their Florham Park facility feel like they were prepping for a playoff game. On Thursday the locker room was open to the media for the first time during the team's voluntary offseason workouts, and more than...

Mark Sanchez: Tim Tebow is a backup quarterback first, then he’ll do other stuff

If Tim Tebow truly is heading into Jets training camp with the goal of becoming the starting quarterback, Mark Sanchez does not see it happening. The Jets owners and coaches have made it clear that Sanchez is their starter, but they also say they intend to use Tebow in a number of different packages and that he will in some way impact the offense. Sanchez agrees that Tebow will be...

New York firmly in grip of Tebowmania

The New York Rangers have a Game 7 in Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Andy Pettitte's pitching his first game in pinstripes since 2010 on Sunday, and J.P. Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon reported that his bank had $2 billion in trading losses. And what was everyone talking about in New York City on Thursday? Tim Tebow's dog's name. Seriously. In an interview session...

Jets QB coach: Sanchez had ‘poor decision-making’

There's no question that Mark Sanchez, entering what amounts to a make-or-break fourth season, has the weight on the world on his shoulders. Now, thanks to an unlikely source, it's gotten that much heavier. Pontificating on the past, Jets quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh told the New York Daily News that Sanchez displayed "poor decision-making" last season...

Even Mark Sanchez’s QB coach thinks he stinks

We like to pick on New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez, and it is because we don’t think of him as a very good quarterback, showing flashes of nothing. Ya see, Sanchez’s early success was predicated on one of the best running games in football and one of the best defenses, as well. Actually, I [...]

Jets Reportedly On Short List For 'Hard Knocks'

A foul-mouthed Rex Ryan and a devout Tim Tebow could be the featured attraction when HBO's hit reality series Hard Knocks resumes in August. The Jets are one of a "handful of teams still in consideration" by the cable network, the New York Daily News reported. Team owner Woody Johnson is on the record as saying he would welcome the show's return to Jets training...

Jets QB Mark Sanchez's Poor Decisions Picked Apart By Coach

For all the coddling that Mark Sanchez has received by the Jets organization in his first three years, quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh has never sugarcoated the truth with the young quarterback. After Sanchez's uneven season that included a career-high 26 touchdown passes and a career-high 26 turnovers, Cavanaugh laid out his goals for the quarterback, including becoming an...

New York Jets Turned Down “Hard Knocks”

Unfortunately for those of us who love great television, the New York Jets have reportedly turned down a chance to reprise their role at the center of HBO’s training camp documentary show “Hard Knocks.” I’ll give you a moment to weep silently to yourselves. Having the Jets on “Hard Knocks” this summer would have been a gift from God. The last time Rex Ryan’s team was...
