There wasn’t much Tim Tebow magic on Friday night. The third-string quarterback was forced into action with 1:22 left in the first half after Ryan Mallett got drilled by Emmanuel Acho. Mallett was deemed “questionable” with a head injury, though he told the media after the game he got hit in the chest, which is what it looked like on television. Tebow completed four passes on 12 attempts for 55 yards. There were throws that both intentionally and unintentionally were thrown in the dirt, there were passes that sailed and passes that didn’t quite hit the dirt, but were not thrown far enough anyway. Tebow had his moments, but they were few and far between in his debut with the Patriots. Tebow’s best moments were on the plays that were specially set up for him. He ran the ball four times for 31 yards, but perhaps his most embarrassing play of the day came on an option where he was well past the line of scrimmage, yet still tried to lateral the ball forward to Kamar Aiken. Obviously, it’...

Tim Tebow to cameraman: Jesus loves you

It was more of the same for Tim Tebow in his preseason debut with the Patriots on Friday evening. Like in his first training camp practice, the ballyhooed third-string quarterback struggled mightily under center, completing just 4-of-12 passes for 55 yards against the Eagles' future cuts backups. And, as the Washington Post's Kent Babb tweeted, Tebow's devotion to...

Tim Tebow turns camera man's mishap into a quick-witted zinger

Say what you want about Tim Tebow, the man lives a pretty religious lifestyle. Maybe someday he’ll have a slipup of some sort, and ESPN can debate whether he’s lost all credibility on First Take (oh the irony that would be), but last night, Tebow’s quick wits were on full display in the Patriots’ locker room. In the Pats locker room, a camera guy has a mishap and...

Tim Tebow Said ‘He Loves You’ to Camerman Who Shouted ‘Jesus Christ’ After First Patriots Preseason Game

Patriots third-string quarterback Tim Tebow had a rough showing against the Eagles on Friday, but he didn’t let one bad preseason showing get to him after the game. While Tebow was in the locker room after his 4-for-12 showing for 55 yards through the air, he overheard a cameraman shout “Jesus Christ” after some sort of a mishap. Tebow then turned to the cameraman and said...

Golfer Matt Every Has Patriots Logo, Tim Tebow’s Name and Jersey Number on Golf Bag (Photo)

Matt Every is looking to get every advantage he can get at this weekend’s PGA Championship, and that apparently includes channeling some Tebow power. Every was seen Friday sporting a golf bag with the Patriots logo stitched in above a “Tebow 5″ monogram, an obvious homage to Patriots backup quarterback Tim Tebow. While it might seem like the most random and misguided reference...

Tim Tebow Tells Cameraman Jesus Loves Him

I hope Tebow hangs around with the Patriots. While I think at times the networks can overdo it with the coverage, I do think he is an interesting character and he is never out of character. Case in point. In the Pats locker room, a camera guy has a mishap and yells, "Jesus Christ!" Tebow, in earshot, looks at the guy and says: "He loves you." — Kent Babb (@kentbabb...

PGA golfer Matt Every is apparently a very big Tim Tebow fan

Well, this is pretty strange. PGA pro Matt Every is participating in the PGA Championship this weekend with a monogramed golf bag that includes the Patriots logo with “Tebow 5″. Every was an four-time All-American at the University of Florida from 2003-2006; Tebow began his career as a Gator in 2006, so maybe they’re old buddies or something like that. If not, this could just...

Tim Tebow to camera man: Jesus loves you

Check out this story from Kent Babb of The Washington Post.   This allegedly happened after last night’s Eagles-Patriots game. In the Pats locker room, a camera guy has a mishap and yells, "Jesus Christ!" Tebow, in earshot, looks at the guy and says: "He loves you." — Kent Babb (@kentbabb) August 10, 2013 I promise that Tebow tweet was 100 percent true....

Tim Tebow hits the field for the New England Patriots

The New England Patriots made the curious move of acquiring free agent quarterback Tim Tebow this offseason. Given the release of tight end Aaron Hernandez after his arrest, speculation began about whether or not the Patriots would be moving Tebow to tight end. Tebow found his way on to the field Friday night, but as a quarterback, not a tight end. The Patriots have reiterated this...

Ryan Mallett Says ‘My Head Is Fine’ After Leaving Game With Injury

With 1:22 left in the first half, Ryan Mallett got drilled by Emmanuel Acho and Damion Square. The quarterback left the game and did not return. The Patriots later sent out a tweet, saying Mallett was questionable with a head injury. Mallett insisted he was fine after the game, though. “My head is fine,” Mallett told the Boston Herald. Mallett went 9-for-18 in the quarter and...

Patriots’ Ryan Mallett exits with head injury

New England Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett exited last night’s preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles with a head injury. While he wasn’t able to return to the game following a hard hit, the Patriots announced that Mallett is not dealing with a concussion, according to Ben Volin of The Boston Globe. Mallett on his head injury: "Just got hit in the chest...

Ryan Mallett told reporters suffered a head injury, but it’s not a concussion

According to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe,  Patriots quarterback Ryan Mallett told reporters that he suffered a head injury, but it’s not a concussion. I would really love to know what other head injury there is.  Maybe he cut his head, but I would think he would have said that.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Ryan Mallett Leaves Patriots’ Preseason Opener With ‘Head Injury’

Ryan Mallett left the Patriots’ preseason opener a little early on Friday night. Mallett, who was expected to get a good portion of the snaps against the Eagles, took a rough hit late in the second quarter and was forced to leave the game. The Patriots announced that Mallett was dealing with a head injury and his return was questionable. Patriots Injury Update: Ryan Mallett has...
