Tim Tebow and Denver Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas enjoyed a big win Wedenesday night at the ESPY Awards. They won the award for Best Moment for their 80-yard touchdown to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime in the AFC Wild-Card Game.
Both Tebow and Thomas took the stage but Thomas left the speaking all to Tebow. The New York Jets backup quarterback delivered a message to his successor in Denver, Peyton Manning.
"To be honest, I probably would've voted for Bubba (Watson), but Bubba, you know I love you, but you did win my golf tournament, so hopefully that will suffice," Tebow said.
"I want to congratulate DT, that was a heck of a play. He was amazing all year, especially when he needed to come up big, and that was a pretty nasty stiff-arm.
"I also want to congratulate and thank all of my old teammates -- take care of them, Peyton -- and I just want to thank them all."
BEST OF MAXIM
Tim Tebow and Demaryius Thomas picked up the ESPY Best Moment Award for the 80-yard TD pass in their improbable overtime win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs. Both players took to the stage, but for some reason only Tebow spoke.

According to TMZ.com, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has landed a mansion in a Denver suburb for $4,575,000. It’s a 16,000 square foot home Cherry Hills Village which is a very high-end place to live.
Manning’s new pad includes 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 7 car garage, an elevator, a panic room in case anyone tries to kidnap him and a gate to try...
There is no NFL quarterback that has more commercial appeal than Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
Recently, he did a brand-new commercial for Buick and below is the spoils from the 30-second spot which shows Peyton calling audibles in his car:
Toward the latter part of last season, Tim Tebow helped Demaryius Thomas make a name for himself. Though Tebow is oft-criticized for his passing skills — or lackthereof — he’s able to uncork a pretty decent deep ball, and Thomas, a speedster, has an uncanny way of getting open downfield.
During their improbable playoff run, the two connected on several big plays, most notably...
Before he signed with the Broncos, the Tennessee Titans were the other major suitor for Peyton Manning. The Titans were able to offer Manning the opportunity to return to the state where he played his college ball, a lifetime contract, and a substantial salary. Up until now, however, it had not been known how substantial that salary was.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the...
Denver has come alive. Football is just about ready to begin. Not since the days of John Elway has the excitement and expectancy by the fan base been so, so mile high. Peyton Manning, by his mere presence, has whetted the appetite of every Bronco fan. Last year belonged to Tebow and his maniacs. The [...]

It wasn't the first time she's done it, but Lindsey Vonn seized the moment and fittingly Tebowed after she presented Tim Tebow with the ESPY for "Best Moment."
One of the reasons I follow the NFL so much more closely than college football is the simple truth that money talks, and in the NFL, no one is hiding from that simple truth. Apparently, however, money talks at a different volume for different people.
According to Chris Mortensen, Titans owner Bud Adams was willing to pay Peyton Manning up to $25 million per year to come to Tennessee...
And here we are thinking Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez are going to hate each other… What fools we are! Afterall, one is a fast-talking womanizer, and the other is a devout well-behaved virgin.
It’s a match made in heaven. The New York Jets are the poster boys for team chemistry.. SMH
Paying for ten games when all you get is eight.
Having your team's franchise player tossed aside in favor of a new guy.
Watching all your favorite players uncerimoniously cut late on a Friday afternoon.
Watching your team bed down with the Indy Star to the detriment of other media sources.
Maybe fans are just sick of it.
In light of the Colts disasterously stupid decision...
The report comes from Chris Mortensen, making it dubious enough for me to hedge my bets in the headline, but the gist is that the Titans had an offer on the table to Peyton Manning for $25 million per year. Using Peter King Basic Mathology 101, we can deduce that that is more than the $19 million per year that he ultimately accepted from the Broncos to usurp Tim Tebow.
