Mark EvansAfter head coach Rex Ryan has decided to go with Greg McElroy as his starting quarterback in the final game of the season, many were scratching their head as to why Tim Tebow was not given a shot. He was brought into town to be the backup quarterback, but has yet to get a chance. Tebow has spent the entire season as nothing more than much of a gimmick, a year after he was the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, who made it to the playoffs and upset the Steelers in the first round. Apparently, the fans aren’t the only ones frustrated with Ryan’s decision. According to a report, Tim Tebow will be asking the Jets to either trade or release him. In a move that will surprise no one — not even the most ardent believer that Tim Tebow will absorb any and all indignities and then say he’s “excited” for more — Tebow will ask to be traded or released by the Jets if Greg McElroy starts the last two games of the season, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. Tebow surely won’t say anything publicly.  Privately, he’ll make his beliefs known. For his sake, you have to hope he can get a chance somewhere. While some of his followers may be a bit annoying, Tim Tebow is a great person and a model citizen who deserves a shot. While his numbers were far from impressive, you can’t ignore what he did for Denver while he was the starter. Maybe the circus can finally move out of New York and onto somewhere else. I’m sure Rex Ryan would love nothing more. Sports-Kings - The Kings of Sports Lists

Report: Tebow feels misled by the Jets

According to Mike Freeman of CBS Sports, quarterback Tim Tebow feels misled by the New York Jets, since when he was acquired in the offseason he was told that he would have a shot to start if Mark Sanchez was either  benched or went down with an injury. The reason Tebow hasn’t gotten a chance to start is because he’s been so bad in practice and the Jets clearly realize now that...

So Tim Tebow wants to leave the Jets now, I say Let Him Go

Written By Clifford, Santa Monica,   In the 47 years that I’ve been watching professional sports I’ve never seen more fuss made over an athlete who was less talented than Timothy Richard Tebow. To me, he’s the NFL’s answer to former NBA stiff Jon Koncak–a reserve center chosen by the Atlanta Hawks with the fifth pick in the 1985 draft. As I recall, Koncak was rewarded...

Rex makes necessary switch to McElroy, not Tebow

Greg McElroy is the starting quarterback for the New York Jets -- for now. Less than a day after Mark Sanchez threw four interceptions and mishandled a critical snap at the end of the Jets' demoralizing 14-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans, Jets coach Rex Ryan handed over signal-calling duties to McElroy. Tim Tebow had been the No. 2 quarterback on the depth chart pretty much the...
