With the news coming out of New York this week regarding Tim Tebow and how his own teammates feel about him got me thinking about another quarterback that never amounted to anything.Ryan Leaf was a quarterback drafted in 1998 that many believed would be the next great one.  He was drafted second overall behind Peyton Manning in that draft.  It was a long debate on which QB should go first, but many thought that both would end up with a glorious career.  However, as most people know, Leafs tenure in the NFL lasted only 4 seasons and his life outside of the NFL as only gotten worse. As for Tim Tebow, he was the Golden boy in college.  He was able to take Florida to a national championship and win the Heisman.  But many scouts did not see him making a career in the NFL with style of play.  Everyone knew he had the drive for the NFL but not the talent. So with all the criticism Tebow has gotten so far throughout his career, I decided to compare him to Ryan Leaf, who most people see as the...

Tebow responds to criticism

Jets quarterback Tim Tebow responded to the criticism he received from his teammates, who mostly ripped him anonymously.

Sad Tebow

The New York Post, much like SportsCenter, has a fascination with Tim Tebow. They would write about him week in and week out as the Jets continue to go down the pooper. The latest story to come out of that circus act of a locker room has "anonymous" Jets player ripping Tebow and calling him terrible. This really isn't much of a surprise because, let's face it, Tebow...

New York Jets: Tim Tebow Will Start At Quarterback By Week 14

It seems like it was several years ago that John Elway stated that Tim Tebow has earned the right to be the starting quarterback heading into training camp this 2012 football season for the Denver Broncos.Actually, Elway made this comment just this January. Elway had plans to work with Tebow in the offseason to improve his throwing mechanics. That all changed when Jim Irsay...

Mark Sanchez Versus Tim Tebow

Tebow Time? Since the trade for Tim Tebow and the pictures of him running shirtless in the rain at practice, the talk about the two time college National Champion has faded. As the 3-6 Jets head to St. Louis to face the Rams this week, the reports from New York have informed the public that multiple players on the Jets team have ripped Tim Tebow and openly said they feel like Mark...

Darren Sharper rips Matt Slausen for criticizing Tim Tebow

New York Jets offensive lineman Matt Slausen was the only Jets’ player to openly criticize quarterback Tim Tebow. NFL Network analyst Darren Sharper doesn’t believe Slausen has the right to criticize Tebow when he’s not a great player himself. “I talked to one of the offensive lineman for the Jets, and they said throughout this season, Matt Slauson has graded out the worst...

A LOCKER ROOM TORN

With anonymous Jets' players calling out quarterback Tim Tebow, when will the drama end?

Ryan: Anonymous Tebow attacks could unite team

Rex Ryan is no dummy, and so after he read off the Jets' injury report at his press conference Wednesday, he grinned at the reporters and into the glare of the television cameras crowded into the media room at the Jets' training facility. "Fire away, let's go," Ryan said. "Ask the questions you want to ask." An awkward silence ensued. "I...

Tomlinson thinks Cromartie, Scott called out Tim Tebow

Earlier today, two anonymous Jets players called Tebow “terrible” and stated that the wild cat offense won’t work with Tebow at the helm. Former Jets player Ladainian Tomlinson think he knows who those anonymous players were: Bart Scott and Antonio Cromartie. According to Tomlinson, Cromartie is the one who called Tebow “terrible” and Scott is the player who said the...

LaDainian Tomlinson outs “anonymous” Jets, Bart Scott denies it was him

LaDainian Tomlinson spent time with the New York Jets and since he is retired may not feel the need to protect anyone from comments. Tomlinson believes that Antonio Cromartie made the comment calling backup quarterback Tim Tebow “terrible” while Bart Scott was the player critical of the Wildcat offense. For what it is worth Scott is denying he made any comments. “That can...

Turn On The Jets Week 11 Best Bets: Or Worst Bets?

Week 10 Record: 1-2 Season Record: 11-18-1 Week 10 Record in Race For The Steak Picks: 10-3 For this week, I think it’s apropos to rename this piece “Worst Bets”, considering what happened last week with my picks. In the 13 games your Turn On The Jets staff picked from Week 10 of the NFL season, I went 10-3. The three games I did not get right were the Bears over the Texans...
