If New York Jets starting quarterback, Mark Sanchez goes down with an injury, it will be Tebow time.
On Wednesday coach Rex Ryan said that Tim Tebow would become the starting quarterback if Sanchez was sidelined instead of third-stringer Greg McElroy.
"I think Tebow would expand his role," Ryan said. "We feel good about what Tim can do."
Tebow is listed as the No.2 quarterback, but since the Jets plan to use him in different roles and specific packages it was still unclear if he would become the starter if Sanchez went down.
"We don't speculate what the situation is," McElroy said. "Obviously, Tim's a fantastic player and I think he would do a great job in that role, but we don't want to worry about a situation like that. Mark is our starter and we're going to follow him the best way we know how, and that's really what we're going to focus on.

The New York Jets are 0-3 in preseason action and, in case you haven’t heard, have yet to score a touchdown. New York Jets Preview
Hey, so my name is Michael and I’ll be giving my take on the Jets. With the season just around the corner I figured now would be a good time to preview the season. Just so we’re clear I’m not a Jets fan.

Fortunately, it looks like...
