Found December 30, 2011 on NBC Washington:
John Elway is saying all the right things. Last week, Elway declared that Broncos QB Tim Tebow "isn't going anywhere," while cleverly leaving out any mention of Tebow actually being the team's starter. Elway has had to walk a fine line all season long, making sure that Tebow lovers feel like their hero has gotten a fair shake from the organization, while maintaining the pragmatic view that Tebow probably isn't a long-term solution for his team. The stats aren't in Tebow's favor. He's completing less than half his passes. He's fumbled more often than all but two other starting QBs, and done so in far fewer games. On the DYAR chart that Football Outsiders uses to rank QBs, Tebow falls behind the likes of Dan Orlovsky, Chad Henne, and John Beck. Elway can't sit back like Peter King and believe that Tebow defies stats because he's made of rainbows and cotton candy. Some of these terrible numbers have to matter, especially if the Bro...

The NFL Will Make Sure Tim Tebow Gets Into the Playoffs

We have heard it all during the 2011 NFL season regarding  Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. They say he can’t pass, makes a good running back, is too religious, is a descendant of God and that he will never last in the National Football League. No matter the story Tim Tebow equals ratings and his rise to stardom in the NFL has been the story that can’t miss. To think the NFL...

Tebow Battles Chiefs, Denver's Defensive Demons

Tim Tebow and the Broncos have overcome more than just a 1-4 record to reach the cusp of the playoffs this year. They’ve overcome a pass defense so bad it usually spells 4 or 5 wins.....

Tebow gets pep talk about turnovers

It would have surprised absolutely no one if Tim Tebow had been on the receiving end of a tirade from the Broncos coaching staff during and after last week’s four-turnover day in Buffalo. But that’s not Mike McCoy’s style. “The first thing I told him after the game was, ‘Tim, don’t ever question yourself,’” McCoy said following practice today. McCoy said that at this...

The Chosen One vs. the Cast Off

Earlier this week Broncos exec John Elway acknowledged that the possibility of Kyle Orton returning to Denver with an opportunity to knock the Broncos out of the playoffs when considering whether or not to set the veteran QB free. Ultimately, they did, and, the scenario has played out exactly as such. Tim Tebow was the chosen [...]

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Bet $1 Million On Tebow to Lose

It appears that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not impressed by "Tebow Time". According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, it's rumored on The Strip that Mayweather Jr. bet a cool $1 million that Tim Tebow and the Broncos would succumb to the New England Patriots two weeks ago. That prediction came true and Denver was squashed with a 41-23 defeat. The champ has a history of...

Bulky cast, injured thumb slowing Broncos' Miller

Von Miller has sparked Denver's defense this season just as Tim Tebow has energized the Broncos' offense. Like Tebow, he's fading at the finish. The outside linebacker and No. 2 overall pick in the draft looked like a lock for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors when he collected 10 1/2 sacks in his first 10 games. Then, at the end of his best performance yet, a 10...

Chiefs Appear Motivated to Help Raiders Win West

The Raiders know they have to beat the Chargers Sunday to have a chance to play in the NFL’s postseason. That, however, is the only thing they can control. To win the AFC West title, the Raiders also need the Kansas City Chiefs to beat Tim Tebow and the Broncos in Denver. All the Raiders can do in that game is look to Colorado and cross their fingers that the Chiefs, now out of...
