Don't get me wrong. I LOVE THIS LOOK. Problem is, the current Packers cant hack it in the cold. Other teams love coming to Lambeau in the Playoffs now.

Yes, you read that right.  It is time to put a retractable roof on Lambeau Field. I don’t give a crap how much it costs, cost is not an issue. Just hold a Packer charity or something and 100s of thousands of Packer fans will show up to pay for it. The time is now for this. Get it built before A-Rodge and the current dome built Packers have to slog through another playoff run outside in the elements. Everyone on the current Packers is built like a Lamborghini. Fast, agile, etc. Lamborghini’s don’t run well in the cold and neither does this team. I know, The Packers beat the Lions with their backups. Doesn’t matter, the Lions are like crappier Lamborghinis.

Now I know that the Packers went to Soldier Field last year and beat the Chicago Bears for the NFC Championship. Let’s not let that distract us from the real issue. They were playing the Bears. The Bears suck and cant score. To beat the Bears all you need is 20 points. However, to beat….lets say….THE GIANTS you will need to score more than 20 points.  The problem is that the Packers play like diddly poo in the weather. Compare this to how they play in domes and it is a no brainer. Time for a retractable roof on Lambeau.

A retractable roof is the answer in so many ways. These type of stadiums can have natural grass which is sweet because inside these stadiums it is about 65 degrees, just like a beautiful September day. The Packers wont need to close the roof until these current fancy pants Packers get too cold and their high octane engines slow down like we saw Sunday. Nope, it will be all cozy and suddenly they wont have the dropsies, fumbles and maybe even Charlie Peprah would get more than 2 inches off the ground when he jumps. If Sunday’s game was in a stadium like the AZ Cardinals have……I would bet that the outcome was different.

People will scream “What about the tradition, the frozen tundra, I cant wear my blaze orange and carhartt jacket!” Well, traditionalist Packer fan, I ask you what is more important? Is it keeping the open air tradition alive at Lambeau or is it actually winning a damn home playoff game for once. The last team the Packers beat at home, in the Playoffs was the god dam Seahawks….and the time before that….was the Seahawks……. The other times this team has been owned by; The Vikings, The Falcons, and The Giants TWICE. The Giants are built for cold and smash mouth….the Packers are not. The Seahawks, both versions, were as fancy pants as the current Packers. The ’07 team was the same as this team, sans one Brett Favre. Still built for speed and still shat all over Lambeau.

The final piece to my retractable roof over Lambeau argument (RROLA) ROOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAA!! is that a roof like this would allow any future team who is built different to once again use the “FROZEN TUNDRA OF LAMBEAU FIELD” to their advantage. If The Packers are ever and once again a smash mouth team like the 90s or 60s we can open that sucker up and freeze these teams into submission.

It is needed Losers and Packer Fans. ARodge and the boys need a fast, consistent, and climate controlled environment to thrive. If not…….The Packers will go 14-2 next year and lose to the 49ers or some other tough team at home, further tarnishing what little “Lambeau Playoff Mystique”  is left.

Put a roof on Lambeau and the current, dome built, fancy pants Packers would never lose a game.

P.S. No I am still not over the loss and that other teams treat Lambeau Field like a Kwik Trip Station on their road to the Super Bowl. Gilbert Brown said it best on the radio this week; He said all week the Giants were talking ****, saying they were coming in to beat the 15-1 team……and the Packers laid down. It was like someone came into YOUR house, put THEIR feet on YOUR table and made YOUR wife get them a drink, and YOU didnt do a damn thing about it. Gilbert, Reggie, Sean Jones, Santana Dotson and the boys would not have allowed that. The current Packers did and should be ashamed to wear the Green and Gold.
