Time for Vince Young to Move on From Football?
The road to fame and fortune has been a rocky one for Vince Young and one that is not necessarily done just yet, but is teetering dangerously close to finality. After being out of the game for a season it would seem that his day is done.
Inconsistent play combined with serious character issues on and off the field (yes, there have been plenty that did worse than him, but that doesn’t excuse his actions) have led to the former national champion looking for work at the age of 30 when he should be in the prime of his career.
If only his career had taken a different route.
Back in 2006 when he led the Texas Longhorns to the 2005 National Championship he was on top of the world. He had the perfect opportunity to showcase his talents against the defending national champions (USC) and did just that with 467 total yards and three touchdowns in what many have called one of the greatest games in college football history.
