The Titans' decision to draft a fellow Chris (Chris Johnson) in the first round a few weeks ago should have been a message heard loud and clear by Chris Henry. Despite being a second round draft selection in 2007, Henry is going to have his work cut out for him as he attempts to become a part of the Titans' running game next season and beyond.

  • I think he will have a chance to be on the field this year. Especially now the Chris Brown is gone? I actually like him as a runner and think he will have a chance to be a star player (like RB James Brooks of the 80's Bengals). Only time will tell, but I like the kid.
  • That's high praise to compare Henry to Brooks, who as you said, was a great back for the Bengals during the 80's.

The Titans are raving about 1st rounder Chris Johnson, so Henry is going to have to step his game up if he expects to see the rock next year.
  • I think Henry proved he could run the ball last year. Chris Johnson was not needed by the Titans, and that is the reason there draft grade was so low. They didnt go for needs, really they just went for speed. Im not to set on Chris Johnson.
  • I think Johnson is explosive and could make for an awesome kick returner/scat back. His football speed reminded me of Bo Jackson and he has a pretty good spin move. But I still really like Chris Henry and think that if he gets a shot, he will perform. Even with the limited amount of touches last year, he was exciting to watch.
  • i am like the gfuy who posted henry should step up ,but, i also belive the titans gave henry a raw deal when he made one mistake in the run game ,and did not give him a shot ,but, before i say the wrong thing ,chris henry did make himself the butt of any talk of him not being dependable when he got suspended four games . that was not good . note to chris henry no wackyweed ,ok.
