Disappointed. Upset. Frustrated. Embarrassed. Gloomy. The Tennessee Titans are wallowing in their emotions after an ugly and inept start to the season that has them winless after two games. They knew the opening month would be tough, having to face Tom Brady and Phillip Rivers - with Matthew Stafford and Matt Schaub looming. Just not this tough. The Titans have been dominated by a combined score of 72-23 following a 38-10 bashing at San Diego Sunday. They can't run, throw or get off the field on defense. Coach Mike Munchak is preaching patience, pointing to a couple plays here or there where Tennessee could have swung games. As far as personnel changes, Munchak said Monday his best players already are on the field. The struggling Titans host Detroit (1-1) Sunday.

Tom Brady Remains Biggest Key to Making Sure Patriots Offense Remains Well-Oiled Machine

Tom Brady threw for over 300 yards on Sunday, and he also threw a touchdown pass. Those numbers aren't especially horrible, but given the lofty expectations for Brady and the rest of the Patriots offense, it certainly wasn't a great day. More importantly, the offense as a whole struggled, scoring only one touchdown in a 20-18 upset loss at the hands of the Cardinals. It&...

Home Opener Filled With Disappointment

The Cardinals successfully attacked the Patriots’ central weakness, pressuring Tom Brady, and made things difficult all afternoon for the quarterback and his teammates. Outplayed. Outcoached. Overmatched. Whichever word you want to use to describe it, the Patriots got beat in every facet of the game yesterday against the Arizona Cardinals and lost, 20-18 as a result. A late...

Are the Arizona Cardinals Legit?

The Arizona Cardinals vs. the New England Patriots in Foxborough. If you saw this game on the NFL schedule, then it’s pretty obvious who you would expect to come out with the victory.  Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have had a tendency over the past decade to win the games that they were “supposed” to win.  If you’re the gambling type, or you’re in any type of...

Deion Branch’s Return Shouldn't Take Snaps From Wes Welker, Will Enhance Tom Brady's Options

Deion Branch is back in New England, and the Patriots are excited to get the reliable No. 84 back on the field. After being a last-minute cut during roster trim downs on August 31, Branch's locker in the Patriots locker room has remained in tact with the expectation being that he'd find his way back onto the roster. Well, on Wednesday, he did just that. Unlike Kellen Winslow...

Arizona Cardinals vs. New England Patriots: Hero and Zero of Game

Where do I even begin? There was not a whole lot that went as expected in this contest between the Patriots and the Cardinals in Foxborough Mass.I wanted to come out of this with a clear-cut hero on one side (the Patriots) and an equally clear-cut zero on the other side (the Cardinals). The spread on the game was almost two full touchdowns for the Brady-led Pats and the prevailing...

Week 2 Fantasy Football Recap: Texans vs. Jaguars

Houston Texans – 27, Jacksonville Jaguars – 7This game mostly played out exactly as most fantasy prognosticators predicted, which meant lots of running for the Texans, and not much Matt Schaub (192 total yards) passing.  Because the Texans are now a run first and good defense type of team, it’s hard to count on Schaub as anything more than a backup fantasy QB.Hopefully you...

Cardinals stun the nation with a win in New England

The Cardinals suddenly look like a real football team, and that's thanks in no small part to an under appreciated defensive unit that held the Patriots to just 18 points in a stunning victory against the New England Patriots. Oddly enough, the Cardinals held the lead most of the game, but in classic Tom Brady fashion, the Patriots made a run to tie the game late. They...

Deion Branch back with the Patriots

Wide receiver Deion Branch is back with the New England Patriots. Branch signed with the Patriots on Tuesday, rejoining the team that cut him three weeks ago, according to the NFL.com.
