Tennessee Titans defensive backs Bernard Pollard and Kareem Jackson both heard from the league on Wednesday for their individual hits on two separate Houston Texans receivers.
Pollard was fined $42,000 for his hit on Andre Johnson, who left the game with a concussion. They deemed Johnson was defenseless and Pollard hit him in the head/neck area, according to Will Brinson of CBSSports.com.
According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Kareem Jackson was also fined $42,000 for his hit on Kendall Wright. Jackson was penalized on the field, and helped set up a Houston touchdown. He'll reportedly appeal the fine.
The outspoken Pollard took to Twitter to blast the NFL for the fine:
So @nfl said I did "everything right" but 42k later I still get fined. Wow! It's called football but they want 2 hand touch. #TitanUp#
