Titans defensive tackle is in the midst of his second year in the league coming out of the University of Southern California. During his time as a Trojan, Casey spent a year with Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, where he said Sanchez was a good QB, but he’s changed during his time as a pro. “In college, I felt like he sat back there more comfortably, but now I feel like he’s a little timid and he likes to just throw the ball up wherever,” Casey said via TitanInsider.com. “I played with him one year. Being there, he was a good quarterback and he did what he had to do. And still to this day, he’s doing a decent job. He’s going to be a good threat out there and we’ve got to make sure we stop him.” Titans DT Jurrell Casey (Left) says the Titans will keep embarrassing Mark Sanchez (Photo via cstv.collegesports.com) In saying he’s good, he said he’s a little more timid – which doesn’t necessarily say Sanchez sucks, but saying that the Titans want to go out on Monday and keep embarrassing him is insinuating that the fourth year QB, well, sucks. “It’s a tough place to play out there, and if you’re not ready for the job, don’t do it,” He said. “You’ve got to step up to the plate, and he ain’t stepped up to the plate yet. We’re just going to keep embarrassing him and bringing more heat and let their fans do what they’ve got to do.” Sanchez has struggled against the blitz this season and defenses have hit him more often than he’d rather, with defenders blowing him up every week, he’s sure to be a little more timid each and every game. The Titans aren’t the Super Bowl team they’d like to be, either. But they’ll have a plan to get to Sanchez, hoping to embarrass him, although nothing may ever be more embarrassing than the infamous ass-fumble. It’ll be hard to top that one, but if Casey and the Titans have their way as they wish, we as fans are in for some good entertainment. Get your popcorn ready!
