It's another sad day in a season which hasn't had many high points.  The Titans took a 20-7 halftime lead into the locker room at Lucas Oil Stadium.  When they exited, they left their game in the locker room and couldn't make their lead stand up.  Jake Locker threw a pair of costly interceptions in the second half which gave the Colts ten easy points.  Andrew Luck led the Colts to another come from behind victory.   These teams are inverse images of each other in several respects.  The Colts improved their record to 9-4 on the season while the Titans dropped to 4-9.  The Titans have lost three games in a row and the Colts have won three in a row.  The Titans have lost five of their last six, while the Colts have won seven of their last eight.  They're definitely two teams going in opposite directions.   I did see a few good things today, for those who may want to find something positive or even encouraging.   Kenny Britt seems to be complete...

Titans Injury Report: Jake Locker, Kenny Britt Probable

The Tennessee Titans will be without linebacker Colin McCarthy for the second straight game today when they take on the Indianapolis Colts, but they are expected to have quarterback Jake Locker, wide receiver Kenny Britt and tight end Jared Cook. Britt missed practice Thursday with a knee injury, but he was a full participant in Friday’s session and is expected to play....

Titans' Cook out for season with torn rotator cuff

Tennessee tight end Jared Cook has a torn right rotator cuff and coach Mike Munchak says Cook will be placed on injured reserve for the final three games. Cook caught an 18-yard touchdown pass on the opening drive in Sunday's 27-23 loss to Indianapolis. But he hurt his shoulder catching a screen pass late in the third quarter. The tight end ranks second with 44 catches and...

Chris Johnson Bottled Up by Colts

Titans running back Chris Johnson crossed 1,000 yards for the fifth time in five years Sunday against the Colts but only had 44 yards on 19 carries.Fantasy Spin:Johnson owners won't like the fact that QB Jake Locker was the leading rusher in Week 14. After seven dynamite weeks, Johnson has clocked in below 4.0 ypc in three straight games. He's failed to score a touchdown...

Colts Fan Gives Rob Bironas A New Set Of Uprights

That’s a much more difficult target for a kicker to hit, given the extra distance and the smaller margin between the uprights. Oh, and it might be somewhat more obscene, too. [via] The post Colts Fan Gives Rob Bironas A New Set Of Uprights appeared first on Kissing Suzy Kolber.

Titans Likely To Pick Up RB Chris Johnson's $9M Bonus

The Titans will have a lot of tough decisions to make in the offseason, but picking up Chris Johnson’s $9 million option shouldn’t be one of them, we hear. He has been one of the few home runs in the draft for the Titans and, while the other backs on the roster are constantly nicked up, Johnson is there, every day. He’s not cheap — that is a high price tag for a back — but they...

Colts deactivate3 starters for Tennessee game

Colts running back Donald Brown, left guard Joe Reitz and safety Tom Zbikowski are inactive for Sunday's game against Tennessee. All three were ruled out earlier this week by interim coach Bruce Arians. Also inactive for the Colts are linebacker Mario Harvey, defensive tackle Kellen Heard, receiver Nathan Palmer and offensive lineman Bradley Sowell. Tennessee deactivated offensive...

2012 Indianapolis Colts: Pretenders No More

Andrew Luck, who has often received credit for the Colts’ unlikely success, was (statistically) terrible on Sunday. He completed 16 of his 34 pass attempts, on his way to a 196-yard performance. His lone touchdown pass was accompanied by two interceptions. One of those two interceptions came in the closing seconds of the first half on a hail mary-style pass. The other was a blatant...

Colts WR Donnie Avery Earning Himself A New Deal With His Play

A lot of the attention among the Colts wideouts has gone to the ageless Reggie Wayne and explosive T.Y. Hilton, but word is GM Ryan Grigson continues to express a desire to re-sign veteran Donnie Avery after the season. Avery is having a career year and, while he had bouts of inconsistency this season, he could earn himself a new deal by continuing to play well in key spots, as he...

Vick Ballard Chips in 91 Yards vs. Titans

Colts running back Vick Ballard had a career-high 91 yards on 19 carries Sunday against the Titans.Fantasy Spin:Ballard didn't score a touchdown but he gave fantasy owners some confidence going into Week 15 at Houston. With Donald Brown out, no other Colts RB carried more than three times.

Luck engineers fourth-quarter rally

Andrew Luck led Indianapolis back from a 13-point second-half deficit and Adam Vinatieri made two fourth-quarter field goals as the Colts rallied for a 27-23 victory Sunday over the Tennessee Titans. Luck has now engineered six fourth-quarter comebacks this season for Indy (9-4). It wasn't all Luck. Delone Carter cut the deficit to 20-14 with a 1-yard TD run on Indy's...

Colts 27, Titans 23

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts played one of their worst halves of the season. But as has become habit, they picked it up in the second half. The Colts came back from a 13-point deficit to beat the Tennessee Titans 27-23 on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Indianapolis improved to 9-4 and kept their playoff hopes alive and well. Adam Vinatieri's 53-yard field goal gave...

Pagano might return for Colts' final regular-season game

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who has been on leave since Sept 26 when it was discovered he has leukemia, might return to the team for its final regular-season game on Dec. 30 against Houston. Pagano is finished with chemotherapy sessions, and whether he can return to the sidelines depends on how he rebounds from the treatment. According to ESPN.com, Dr. Larry...
