The Tennessee Titans will be without linebacker Colin McCarthy for the second straight game today when they take on the Indianapolis Colts, but they are expected to have quarterback Jake Locker, wide receiver Kenny Britt and tight end Jared Cook. Britt missed practice Thursday with a knee injury, but he was a full participant in Friday’s session and is expected to play. Cook practiced fully all week, as did Locker. McCarthy will miss his second consecutive game due to a concussion. It looked like the linebacker might be able to return earlier in the week, as he practiced at a limited capacity Wednesday and Thursday. However, McCarthy missed practice Friday and has been ruled out against the Jets. Along with McCarthy, offensive lineman Steve Hutchinson (knee) and wide receiver Damian Williams (hamstring) are also out due to injury. Meanwhile, defensive lineman Kamerion Wimbley (toe), offensive lineman Michael Roos (knee) and wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins (ankle) are questionable. Chris Johnson Unlikely To Be Released Following The Season

Pro Football Weekly writes that there’s no question that the Titans should pick up RB Chris Johnson‘s $9 million option. PFW adds that Tennessee has plenty of cap space to work with, so the steep price tag isn’t exactly the same kind of obstacle for them that it would be for other NFL teams. They also cite Johnson’s durability and explosiveness as other reasons why...

Colts Fan Gives Rob Bironas A New Set Of Uprights

That’s a much more difficult target for a kicker to hit, given the extra distance and the smaller margin between the uprights. Oh, and it might be somewhat more obscene, too. [via] The post Colts Fan Gives Rob Bironas A New Set Of Uprights appeared first on Kissing Suzy Kolber.

Titans fail to hold halftime lead, lose to Colts 27-23

It's another sad day in a season which hasn't had many high points.  The Titans took a 20-7 halftime lead into the locker room at Lucas Oil Stadium.  When they exited, they left their game in the locker room and couldn't make their lead stand up.  Jake Locker threw a pair of costly interceptions in the second half which gave the Colts ten easy points.  Andrew Luck...
