Officials at Fort Campbell, Ky., say Tennessee Titan wide receiver Kenny Britt was charged with driving under the influence as he attempted to pass through a security gate at the Army installation on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line.
A statement from the installation's public affairs office said Britt was taken into custody at about 3:30 a.m. on Friday and later released.
Team spokesman Robbie Bohren said in an emailed statement that the Titans were aware of the situation and were gathering more facts.
This is Britt's eighth run-in with police since he was drafted in 2009. He met in August with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who chose not to suspend him over repeated police incidents that occurred during the NFL lockout.
Britt injured his knee and played just three games for the Titans last season.

Last month, Andrew posted a few links on some staple plays from Chris Palmer's run and shoot offense that we'll probably see the Titans using this fall. I noted a couple times, notably in the Browns game recap, when the Titans ran the Switch, another run-and-shoot staple. As Chris Brown of Smart Football, who knows more about the run and shoot than I do and whose new book...
After looking at Craig Stevens earlier in the week, I'll turn my attention to the Titans' second biggest offensive re-signing of the offseason, wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins. While his contract did not meet my critera for one of the team's top financial commitments this year, as he would rank 15th in cash and 20th in cap, he'll still be making a fair bit for a player...
I'll be honest, I never pegged Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher as someone who would make a cameo in a music video but recently he did.
Check out Fisher as this gunslingin' cop in Goodbye June's "Microscope":
