Tennessee middle linebacker Colin McCarthy will not play Sunday against the Houston Texans due to a concussion.
McCarthy has not practiced since suffering a concussion in last week's loss at Jacksonville. He has missed four games previously this season with a high right ankle sprain hurt in the season opener against New England. Tim Shaw will replace McCarthy in the base defense with Will Witherspoon in passing situations.
Coach Mike Munchak said Friday McCarthy is not quite ready, so they won't play him.
Receiver Damian Williams returned to practice and is questionable with a hamstring injury. Running back Jamie Harper (ankle) and defensive end Derrick Morgan (knee) did not practice Friday and are questionable. Tight end Craig Stevens (hamstring), and receiver Kenny Britt (knee) are probable after practicing all week.

The Texans won the last two weeks but, not by much. They need to figure out what's going on with their defense if they want to make a playoff run.

Chris Johnson didnt exactly say it, but it was easy to read between the lines when he talked about the change at offensive coordinator this week.
The three-time Pro Bowl running back isnt upset because the Titans fired Chris Palmer and promoted Dowell Loggains. Like a number of other offensive players, hes optimistic about what Loggains could bring to the game plan.
It’s not often we talk about other players not associated with the Houston Texans, but the name of Oakland Raiders inside linebacker Rolando McClain has come up. According to multiple sources, the former 8th overall pick (2010 NFL Draft) is set to “no longer” be a Raider.
These tweets came out about McClain and his recent comments.
Former Bama LB Rolando McClain no...
For years, Tom Moore and Peyton Manning picked apart the Tennessee Titans. Now, Manning is in Denver, and Moore is retired. He will remain retired, but according to Terry McCormick of the National Football Post, Moore has been brought in as an offensive consultant for the Titans, days after firing offensive coordinator Chris Palmer.

In November, Johnson amassed 35 catches for 614 yards and a touchdown that you might recall. In the process, he had his best single-game yardage total of his career (273 -- good for ninth-best ever, like throughout time) and his fifth-best (188).

To help get a better eye on the Texans before this week's game, I once again turned to Steph Stradley. Steph was voted the ultimate Texans fan in 2006 and when not practicing law in Houston writes the Texans Chick blog on the Houston Chronicle's website. Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels dropped by NFL AM Friday morning to discuss his teams 10-1 start.
He was asked about Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suhs kick of quarterback Matt Schaub on Thanksgiving.
My opinion is that it wasnt unintentional, Daniels said, adding he felt it was a situation Suh could have avoided. Source: NFL.com Attached Thumbnails
