NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have signed veteran linebacker Xavier Adibi to the roster and placed linebacker Zac Diles on injured reserve.
Diles broke his right leg in last week's 35-34 win over Buffalo in his first start this season.
The 6-foot-2, 242-pound Adibi has played in 38 games over four seasons with eight starts. Houston drafted him in the fourth round in 2008 out of Virginia Tech. He played four games with Minnesota last season and was with Chicago in training camp this year.
The Titans also signed center Tyler Horn to the practice squad, waiving receiver Vidal Hazelton. The Memphis native played in college with the Miami Hurricanes and was signed this spring as an undrafted free agent by Atlanta only to be waived at the end of training camp.

Matt Hasselbeck has come to life for the Tennessee Titans. His success should be expected as he has led teams to the playoffs on multiple occasions. He is also a veteran who knows what to expect of defenses and what plays to make off of those reads. As a fan the concern is not for taking him out and replacing him with Locker while the team is winning, it’s a concern for hampering...
The NFL Trade deadline is just six days away, so let the speculation begin. Should the Tennessee Titans trade RB Chris Johnson at the trade deadline this season? A case could be made for and against such a move. Johnson has struggled at times this season and is due a $10 million dollar salary in 2013 and his trade value might never be higher than right now.
Johnson came out the starting...
It's taken seven weeks and four blowouts losses to get to this point in the season, but the Tennessee Titans have quickly been sealing up the holes in their leaking ship. After another last minute victory, this time over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday by a core of 35-34, the Titans have improved to 3-4 on the year.
Even better news for them is that they have a match-up against...
Pardon the delayed nature of this posting, but a trip out of town and more trouble posting than anticipated delayed coverage of Sunday's game. Here's your weekly report of the NFL's snap totals for the Titans.
Offense (64 total)
QB: Matt Hasselbeck 64
RB/FB: Chris Johnson 44, Quinn Johnson 24, Jamie Harper 10, Darius Reynaud 9

For the first time in a long time, Chris Johnson turned heads this weekend in the Titans' victory over the Buffalo Bills. Johnson resembled the "CJ2K" that we remember in route to 195 rushing yards and two touchdowns. It was a great game, but don't expect that to be the new-old norm for Chris Johnson.
Even with his great game, the Titans rank 28th in the league...
Tom Gower of the Football Outsiders and Total Titans is one of the most insightful and funny writers on the internet. I can honestly say that I would read his work on the Titans even if I didn't have to. If you care at all about football or just good writing, read everything Tom does just on principle.
His insightful and measured tweets will both entertain and inform you. He...
"You make sure they remember, forever, the night they played the Titans!"In truth, yesterday's affair was an early afternoon game, but the point coach Yoast was trying to make is that Tennessee has found a sudden knack for clutch fourth-quarter performances. The Titans (3-4) rebounded from deficit for the second consecutive week as they stole the show from the Buffalo...
All indications are that the aged-one with start in place of Jake Locker for the fourth straight week. It will be interesting to see what the Titans will do if Hasselbeck is able to beat the Colts and bring the Titans to 4-4. While he hasn't exactly posted big fantasy numbers he has been efficient and effective in going 2-1 as a starter.
With quarterback Matt Hasselbeck showing great poise and Chris Johnson running strong, the Tennessee Titans have posted their first set of back-to-back wins.
They have a good chance to make it three in a row if the Indianapolis Colts can't improve on the road.
The Titans look to continue their push up the AFC South standings Sunday when the Colts go for their first win outside...
I don’t know who the Titans signed midweek to wear #28, but whoever it was looked a hell of a lot like their old running back Chris Johnson. We haven’t seen Chris Johnson since he held out for a big money contract prior to the 2011 season, so it probably wasn’t him. But that was one hell of an impressive performance by whoever that guy was. Maybe we’ll see him again sometime…...
