Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker has a fracture in his left non-throwing shoulder that must heal before he can return to the starting lineup, according to TitanInsider.com.
He fractured his shoulder. That's what we're waiting on to heal," Titans coach Mike Munchak told the website.
Locker suffered the injury on Sept. 30 against the Houston Texans on a sack by defensive back Glover Quin, marking the second time this season he had dislocated his shoulder. However, the hit by Quin also broke a bone in Locker's shoulder, which has kept him sidelined since and will for a few more weeks.
That means Matt Hasselbeck will remain the Titans starting quarterback for now.
Our quarterback until further notice is Matt, Munchak said. I wouldn't say (Jake) is a long way away. He will visit the doctors this afternoon and tomorrow morning. It's more of a medical deal that they're gonna allow him to do some more things and allow him to get bumped around a little bit." Source: National Football Post Attached Thumbnails
