HOUSTON (AP) -- Tennessee quarterback Jake Locker injured his left shoulder after being sacked by the Houston Texans in the first quarter on Sunday and his return is questionable. He returned to the sideline in the second quarter in street clothes with his left arm in a sling. Locker was sacked by Glover Quin and thrown to the ground. He remained there for a few minutes in pain while trainers attended to him. He eventually got up and walked off the field before being taken to the locker room. Matt Hasselbeck came in for Locker on the next series. Locker injured the same shoulder in Tennessee's season-opening loss against New England.

J.J. Watt is the best defensive lineman in the NFL

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is becoming the best defensive lineman in the NFL in only his second year in the league in 2012. In only 4 weeks of action, Watt has recorded 7.5 sacks and is tied for 1st in total sacks on the AFC. That is an enormous accomplishment for any defensive player, but for a defensive end in the 3-4 defense, that type of impact is amazing. 3-4 defensive...

Chris Johnson says he’ll only be as good as his offensive line

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson had his best game of the season yesterday, but he continues to claim that he’ll play well if his offensive line plays well. “Yeah, it was a pretty good game, running the ball or whatever,” Johnson said, per Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. “I feel like my offensive line went out there and did a great job from the first snap. Just getting...

Owen Daniels Stands Out For Texans Week 4

Texans tight end Owen Daniels caught six passes for 72 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Titans. Houston has played it conservative on offense this season, running the ball a ton and throwing the majority of the time to backs and tight ends.Fantasy Spin:Daniels, not Andre Johnson, has been Matt Schaub's No. 1 target this season. He has 19 catches, 232 yards and two scores...

Fantasy Update: Chris Johnson Has Addressed Your Complaints

I’m sure all fantasy owners who drafted Chris Johnson in either the first or second round have been utterly disappointed.Johnson’s production through the first three games was pathetic. To open the season he gave fantasy owners a whopping 5.1 points. Then, he followed that up in weeks two and three with 2.8 points and 2.9 points. In a previous article I had written, I advised...

Texans blow out Titans 38-14

The Houston Texans' 38-14 defeat of the Tennessee Titans was not a fun game to watch for two-tone blue fans.  The Texans scored two early touchdowns and cruised from there.   The Titans never really had a chance, which is evident from a few key statistics.   The Titans lost the turnover battle, with three to the Texans' none.  Two of the three Titans turnovers...

NFL First Quarter Report Card: Houston Texans

It’s hard to imagine the Houston Texans players and staff imagining a better first quarter of the 2012 season than what they’ve got. I guess they could have won all four games by 20 points or more? Because other than a late comeback attempt by the Denver Broncos, the Texans have annihilated all competition on their way to a perfect 4-0 start. A start that is only shared by two...

Kenny Britt Won't Play Week 4

Titans wideout Kenny Britt won't play Sunday versus the Texans. He rolled his left ankle last week in an overtime win over the Lions.Fantasy Spin:We're guessing Nate Washington will play a bigger role than usual with Britt on the sidelines, though we still wouldn't expect him to do anything too crazy against the top-ranked Houston defense.

Mucho Frio: Ben Tate

Foster is too good Juan… Ben Tate is running behind arguably the best offensive line in football. He is also running behind arguably the best RB in football. The Texans may be the best team in the NFL with one of the top defensive units, so it would only makes sense that they would run the hell out the ball. Tate has been pushed as a good flex option on most weeks, but that has...

Enemy Intelligence: Last week's Houston Texans game

Last week, the Houston Texans went on the road and beat the Denver Broncos, 31-25, to move their record to a perfect 3-0 on the season. The Texans had fairly easy wins the first two weeks, first at home against the Dolphins and then in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. In Week 3, they built a 31-11 lead through three quarters in Denver before experience a fourth quarter Peyton...
