Titans QB Ryan Tannehill expected to return Sunday vs. Broncos?

After missing the last two games with an ankle injury, Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is reportedly healthy enough to return.

According to multiple reports, including ESPN's Dan Graziano, Tannehill is expected to start for the Titans on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

The 34-year-old suffered an ankle injury during Week 7's victory over the Indianapolis Colts. While Tannehill's exact injury is unknown, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported last week that the quarterback was seen wearing a walking boot, leading to speculation he had suffered a high-ankle sprain.

Tannehill has thrown for 1,097 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions, leading the Titans to a 4-2 mark in six starts.

The Titans went 1-1 with rookie quarterback Malik Willis taking over in Tannehill's absence. The 23-year-old struggled, going 11-of-26 for a measly 42.31 completion percentage, throwing for 135 yards with zero touchdowns and an interception. However, Willis did show the escapability that made him a third-round pick in last summer's draft, rushing 13 times for 52 yards.

Tannehill's return should give the Titans passing offense a significant boost after they failed to surpass 100 yards through the air the last two games. Tennessee posted only 55 passing yards in a 17-10 win against the Houston Texans and just 80 yards in the Titans' 20-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on "Sunday Night Football."
