On Thursday, Titans running back Chris Johnson said he was very upset with his role in the second half of last Sundays 24-10 loss to the Texans, when he had only three carries and spent most of his time on the field blocking in pass protection.
When it is time for clutch plays in game-time situations, I dont want to be on the sideline or just be in there blocking all the time, said Johnson, who had a streak of six 80-plus yard games snapped. Of course I want to be out there and make plays. I am a playmaker.
Asked if he voiced his displeasure with new offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, Johnson said:
I dont think it was a thing where he had to come to me and say anything. I was very upset, or whatever, not being able to be used as much as I wanted to be. But its a situation, hes a new guy and hed never called a game before in his career. Hopefully it will change.
Johnson finished with 51 yards on 13 carries. He has 993 yards through 12 games as the Titans (4-8) prepare to face the Colts (8-4) in Indianapolis on Sunday.
Loggains, who replaced the fired Chris Palmer as offensive coordinator last week, said after the game he regretted not using Johnson more in the second half. Source: The Tennessean Attached Thumbnails

Chris Johnson Unlikely To Be Released Following The Season
Pro Football Weekly writes that there’s no question that the Titans should pick up RB Chris Johnson‘s $9 million option.
PFW adds that Tennessee has plenty of cap space to work with, so the steep price tag isn’t exactly the same kind of obstacle for them that it would be for other NFL teams. They also cite Johnson’s durability and explosiveness as other reasons why...
Titans place veteran Steve Hutchinson on IR
The Tennessee Titans placed veteran guard Steve Hutchinson on injured reserve because of an injured right knee and claimed guard Mitch Petrus off waivers from New England on Wednesday.
Hutchinson hurt his knee last week in a 24-10 loss to Houston and will have surgery Thursday. He becomes the fourth of Tennessee's five starting offensive linemen at the start of training camp...
Titans fans should be glad their record isn't 1-11
The Tennessee Titans could easily be 1-11 right now, instead of 4-8, if the outcome of a few plays had not been in the Titans' favor. Three of the Titans' four wins were by a total of just seven points - a one-point win and two three-point wins - so all three of those wins could have been losses if just one play in each of those games had been different.
That...
Titans WR Damian Williams Doubtful For Sunday
Wide receiver Damian Williams missed practice again Thursday, and Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak said he doubted Williams would be able to play Sunday when the Titans visit the Indianapolis Colts.
Williams re-injured his hamstring in last Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans and has not practiced since.
Cornerback Alterraun Verner was out Thursday due to flu-like symptoms...
Titans Likely To Pick Up RB Chris Johnson's $9M Bonus
The Titans will have a lot of tough decisions to make in the offseason, but picking up Chris Johnsons $9 million option shouldnt be one of them, we hear. He has been one of the few home runs in the draft for the Titans and, while the other backs on the roster are constantly nicked up, Johnson is there, every day. Hes not cheap that is a high price tag for a back but they...
Titans LB Colin McCarthy Out, OT Michael Roos Questionable For Week 14
According to Titans head coach Mike Munchak, middle linebacker Colin McCarthy's progress from a concussion was not what it needed to be in order for him to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
We're not happy with here he's at right now, and it's probably good to rest him for another week, Munchak said. He's progressing, but with more activity,...

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts: Week 14 NFL Pick
Tennessee Titans (4-8) at Indianapolis Colts (8-4)
Last week, I bet against the Colts because I felt they were an overrated team and the Lions were an underrated team. I felt the Colts were overrated because they’ve had a very easy schedule and they’ve actually had a -43 points differential despite their then 7-4 record. They’ve won just 1 game by more than a touchdown, but...
