Titans RB Derrick Henry rounding back into elite status

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is back to his old ways, and that's bad news for defenses around the NFL.

Since Week 3, Henry is leading the NFL in touches (163) and scrimmage yards (903) and is tied for second in total touchdowns (8).

He is also currently atop the NFL in total rushing yards for running backs with 870, ahead of running backs Nick Chubb (841), Saquon Barkley (779) and Josh Jacobs (743).

While many wondered if Chubb had overtaken Henry as the NFL's premiere back with his startling numbers this season, the former NFL Offensive Player of the Year has returned to prime form after missing a good chunk of the 2021 season with injury.

Henry got off to a slow start in 2022. Since then, he has been the electric presence the Titans need to withstand and carry a struggling passing game.

The Alabama alum rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs in Tennessee's 20-17 loss, helping keep the team as steady as possible in quarterback Ryan Tannehill's absence.

If the Titans are really to overcome its deficiencies on offense to make noise in the AFC, they'll need to get more classic Henry in the weeks to come.
