NFL Injury Report:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New York Giants
The three veteran pass rushers Usi Umenyiora, Dwight Freeney and John Abraham are all garnering interest from several parties. One unheralded contender could be the Tennessee Titans according to TitanInsider:
The Titans have a number of players at need positions on their radar as the free agency period nears. Defensive end is one position where the Titans have at least discussed a number of players and may bring some of them in for visits. Among the ends that list are Osi Umemyiora of the New York Giants, Michael Bennett of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, John Abraham (a cap cut) from the Atlanta Falcons and perhaps Dwight Freeney of the Indianapolis Colts. It is not yet known if the Titans will look at Cliff Avril of the Detroit Lions, who might command a bigger contract than the others.
If they can't reach a deal with Sen'Derrick Marks before Tuesday, defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois is a possible replacement.
As Jared Cook's market threatens to spiral out of control, the Titans are studying Dustin Keller and Martellus Bennett as alternatives at tight end.
With plenty of salary-cap space and several glaring needs,Titans general manager Ruston Webster will be one of the league's most aggressive free-agent pursuers next week. He's going to have his work cut out for him if he wants to keep one of Freeney, Abraham or Umenyiora out of the clutches of contenders.

Who will the Colts surround Chuck Pagano and Andrew Luck with in free agency?
With the start of free agency looming on March 12, and with all teams deciding on whether or not to use their franchise tag, it’s time to take a look at who the Indianapolis Colts could potentially target to sign.
To start with, the Colts are sitting pretty with the salary cap – an estimated $43...
With Free Agency kicking off at 4pm ET, the rumor mill is in overdrive, and deals are starting to take place. And someone who (I hope) the New England Patriots are going after might have found his destination... with a key rival. (Source)
Last month, when very-soon-to-be former Colts linebacker Dwight Freeney joined PFT Live, he said that Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning already...
Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports league sources have mentioned that the Browns are among the teams that have expressed interest in free agent TE Jared Cook.
Cabot adds that Dolphins and Bears are also in the mix as well.
Cook, 25, is considered to be the best available tight end in this year’s free agent class and reports have indicated that as many as 8...
Tennessee was head of the class when the AFC South formed in 2002, winning the division in back-to-back seasons. The Titans captured only one more since then—in ’08—playing second fiddle to Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. When Manning missed the ’11 season and was released by Indy in ’12, Tennessee was primed to challenge Houston for AFC South supremacy.Yeeeeeeaaaaah…about...
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the wife of former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Tim Hasselbeck is being fired from staying on her talk show. Hasselbeck has expressed the ultra-devout Christian beliefs of herself, her husband and her brother-in-law, Tennessee Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck on the show. It was a hot topic during Tim Tebow mania. Then again the connection between football...
Dwight Freeney had high hopes of retiring from the league with the Indianapolis Colts, where he’s spent his entire 11-year NFL career after he was selected by Indy No. 11 overall out of Syracuse in the 2002 NFL Draft.
Freeney is now singing a different tune as he prepares to hit the open market. The lethal 6-1, 268-pound pass rusher recently eluded to the interesting situation...

Teams are allowed to begin talking with free agents today through Tuesday, with all signings allowed to begin on the 12th. The Denver Broncos are reportedly looking at a pair of defensive ends.
The Broncos want Elvis Dumervil to take a pay cut (he will be a $13.6 million cap hit in 2013), and if the two sides are unable to come to an agreement, the...
Since I wrote about the Titans' depth chart holes, that also means I can look at positions where the Titans may be looking for a player in free agency. I've already covered the tight ends, but another position where I strongly believe they'll be looking for a veteran (or maybe more than one) in free agency is offensive guard.
If it feels like I've done one of...
Jared Cook is drawing interest from as many as seven NFL teams following Tennessee Titans' decision not to give him a franchise tag. One includes the Miami Dolphins according to the Sun-Sentinel:
The Dolphins have been talking to representatives for the NFL's top-tier free-agent tight ends and have put a couple feelers out before Tuesday's signings begin.
With the start of the new League Year fast approaching, the Titans took care of some necessary business on Monday, putting a restricted free agent tender on Fernando Velasco. Jim Wyatt indicated it was the second-round tender amount of $2.023 million. I'd expected the Titans to tender Velasco at that level; it's $680,000 more than the lowest possible tender, but as Velasco...
John Abraham totaled 233 tackles, 68.5 sacks and 25 forced fumbles in seven seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2006-12). The 6-4, 263-pound defensive end turns 35-years-old in early May, but he’s generating plenty of interest around the NFL. Let’s take a look at the five most likely landing spots for Abraham via 2013 NFL Free Agency (in no particular order).
