The Tennessee Titans have signed veteran linebacker Zac Diles and rookie fullback Collin Mooney, who will now be asking the Army for an early release.
Mooney set a rushing record as a senior at Army in 2008, running for 1,339 yards. He graduated from West Point in 2009 and spent the past three years serving. Now he's hoping to try playing in the NFL.
Diles is a five-year veteran who played 11 games with Tampa Bay and Indianapolis last season. He started his career in Houston, where he played 50 games over four seasons, and he had his best year in 2009 when he started 12 games with 45 tackles and two forced fumbles.
The Titans released fullback Will Ta'ufo'ou and linebacker Lawrence Wilson to clear roster space.

North Carolina Football: Zach Brown taken in the 2nd Round
After the first round of the NFL Draft, where UNC’s defensive end Quinton Coples was picked 16th by the NY Jets, round two saw another former Tar Heel go off the board. The Tennessee Titans used their pick, the 52nd overall, on Friday night to take line back Zach Brown. The OLB led the squad last season with 105 tackles (13.5 for losses), plus had 5.5 sacks and 3 interceptions...
Tennessee Titans 2012 Draft Grades
20. WR Kendall Wright A-Kendall Wright was 16th on my board and fills a need at wide receiver as Nate Washington is not a #1 receiver and Kenny Britt is unreliable. Without Britt, they struggled for consistency at the wide receiver position. This pick should be an A, but I don’t see how they passed on David DeCastro. He was arguably the top prospect of the decade at their position...
Titans Target Kendall Wright
The Tennessee Titans selected wide receiver Kendall Wright with the No. 20 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Spin:
Wright is a gridiron warrior with excellent hands who is dangerous in the open field, and Tennessee did not drop his stock following a poor showing at the NFL Combine. The Titans look to have one of the most explosive offenses in the near future with stud running back...
Two more ways the Titans improved their pass rush
Although the Tennessee Titans didn't select a defensive end until the seventh round of the draft, they did address the pass round as early as the second round. A few things Mike Munchak said over the weekend seem to have gone largely unnoticed, so I decided to bring them up again here. Second-round draft pick OLB Zach Brown has pass rush skills, according to Munchak, but...
Evaluating the Titans' post-draft additions
I kept track of the Titans' undrafted free agent additions, but didn't add any commentary. With the Titans making a couple moves today other than that, it's time to add a level of analysis to the information collation and reportage. I'll start with the undrafted free agents and then add the other players:WR Devin Aguilar-One of four wideouts the Titans drafted. A...
Thompson talks Titans
SMU defensive end/tight end hybrid Taylor Thompson was on the golf course in Houston Saturday when the Titans called him up to inform him they'd be drafting him in a couple minutes. Tennessee was one of 10 teams Thompson had been talking with months leading up to the NFL Draft and he couldn't be happier about his placement.
Titans Sign LB Zac Diles
A few days after drafting Zach Brown to compete for the weak side linebacker spot, the Tennessee Titans have added another Zac to provide some more competition there. Zac Diles, who split last season between Tampa Bay and Indianapolis, has signed with the Titans, according to TitanInsider.com. Diles also spent four years with the Houston Texans where he was coached by current Titans...
