On Tuesday, the Tennessee Titans announced that they’ve signed safety Michael Griffin to a new long-term contract. His new deal is worth $35 million over the next five years with $15 million guaranteed.
The Titans decided to place the franchise tag on Griffin this offseason and allow Cortland Finnegan to leave in free agency. He was participating in the Titans offseason program without a contract. He’s been rewarded with a new contract.
The 27 year-old Griffin recorded 75 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 2 interceptions last season.
