The Detroit Lions thought they landed a gem when they wrangled receiver Titus Young in the 2011 draft. 

What they landed was a troubled young man whose issues are playing out in theater of the world.

Young’s father Richard spoke with the Detroit Free Press a day after they spoke with the homeowner that almost shot Young after he allegedly broke into his home.

The elder Young went through Friday’s events which eventually led to his felony charges of burglary and assault on a peace officer and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
