The Sports Point:
Remember Todd Lowber from the HBO show Hard Knocks? He was the former D-III college basketball player and high jump champion who was trying to make the Cowboys as a wide receiver. He ended up getting released by Dallas as one of their final cuts in training camp. Good news though, he has been signed by the Dolphins to their practice squad. We were rooting for this kid during the show, and it is good to see his dream of playing in the NFL is still alive.
Before you go feeling sorry for Lowber he did receive a Super Bowl ring as a member of the Giants practice squad a year ago. Also, another thing Lowber has going for him should football not work out is his ability to play some hoops. Check out this short video of him participating in a dunk contest while he was in college and tell us he couldn't catch on with a d-league team somewhere should the Dolphins waive him.
