A.B. Tom Brady has 3 Super Bowl Rings, multiple MVP awards and countless NFL QB records. But what you might not know about Brady is that he also likes to punt the ball. Tonight wasn’t his first rodeo. On 3rd and 32 at the Patriots 45 yard line, Brady took the snap with 7:52 remaining in the 3rd quarter, up 16-3 on the Buffalo Bills, and punted the ball. The Foxborough Faithful loved it, perhaps enjoying the flashback to the last time a different Patriots quarterback kicked a football – the legendary Doug Flutie drop kick – which coincidentally was also against the Bills. The kick didn’t surprise everybody though as the Bills’ Jim Leonhard was back anticipating a punt and called for a fair catch at his own 23 yard line. As to what Belichick was thinking up 13 in the last game of the the regular season? My guess: Why not? Also, good field position is always a plus.
