FOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady didn’t have any trouble with chemistry in high school, at least not if his quarterback play is any indication. Brady has developed chemistry with a bevy of receivers during his 13-year NFL career, including the likes of Deion Branch, Randy Moss and Wes Welker. He always seems to easily transition from one receiver to another, and it appears things with Danny Amendola are no different. Amendola has only been with the Patriots for a few weeks now, but he and Brady are already building some impressive chemistry out on the field. Brady even dared compare it to the connection he shares with tight end Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. “I’ve developed some good chemistry with receivers over the years that body language is really important — when to sit, when to move, when to give me your eyes, when to give me your hands,” Brady said on Wednesday. “All those little cues that you’re using to try to anticipate things as a player [is] very important. That’s why some guys really pick things up and why you develop a chemistry with certain players. Like Aaron and Rob, they got it so quickly and they were very talented players. Danny’s come in and done [it].” Brady has been visibly excited by Amendola’s play during Patriots minicamp so far, even shouting out in excitement to his new receiver after making a last-second route adjustment. Having a receiver with Amendola’s capability seems to excited Brady, and he admitted as much. “He’s fun to play with,” Brady said. “He works so hard. He’s out diving out there for catches. He’s really done everything that we’ve asked him to do. So it’s been a lot of fun.” Brady’s hoping that fun lasts all the way through the upcoming season. Have a question for Luke Hughes?
