Pats Chowder:
As reported by the Boston Herald this morning, the Patriots and Tom Brady have worked out a possible deal that would pay the franchise QB roughly $19 million per year for the next 3 seasons.
There currently isn’t a figure listed for guaranteed money and no confirmation that Brady has agreed to those terms either, but he is expected to do so by tomorrow.
It is definitely a reassuring feeling to have a Brady deal done before the first snap of the regular season. He has taken this situation and treated it with great professionalism. Believe me, the Krafts and Bill Belichick were not going to let their franchise quarterback and one of the greatest of all time get away from them.
Brady has played every card right with the team throughout his career. He’s taken a pay cut to help keep critical roster pieces on the team, worked his ass off from mini-camp to postseason (a lot of times starting before the Pats start up) and most importantly, not taking his complaints to the media.
