Ed Reed Says Tom Brady Called to Apologize for Kicking Him

Brady should be fine. I don’t think it was the worst thing I have ever seen, but the NFL fines players for wearing their socks too high, so I think Brady should be a little lighter in the wallet. For his part Ed Reed says he isn’t tripping. “I told him — you know, we talked,” Reed told WJZ-FM in Baltimore. “We talked actually not too long ago, we talked on the phone....

Tom Brady told Ed Reed he's sorry for kicking him

This one little play has certainly gotten a lot of attention. With the final seconds of the second quarter counting down, Tom Brady scrambled, was surrounded by defenders, and then slid awkwardly with his leg going right for Reed's, umm, leg. The Patriots went on to kick a field goal while the Ravens went on to win the game. Apparently that wasn't good enough for some of...

NFL.com “Leg is feeling alright. A little sore right now,” Reed told WJZ-FM on Monday. “A little slide kick (by Brady), you know what I’m saying. But it’s a tough spot the quarterback’s in. You know, I understand Brady’s point. Him protecting himself. I know he’s a great player. I respect Brady and his game for all it stands for, and I know he’s not a dirty player...

Baltimore Ravens free safety Ed Reed intends to return next season. There was speculation that the 34-year-old Reed might retire after the Ravens complete their Super Bowl run next Sunday. The No. 1 overall draft pick wasn't one of the three quarterbacks originally chosen for the AFC's all-star team. But New England's Tom Brady pulled out because...

Ed Reed says he’s not retiring, will be back next year

While talking to the media today, Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed was asked if he plans on retiring after the Super Bowl, like his teammate Ray Lewis. “I’ll be playing next year. Next question,” said Reed, per the Baltimore Sun. My thought was that if the Ravens win next week’s Super Bowl, Reed would ride off into the Sunset with Lewis, but I guess not.  Then again things...

Ravens open to hiring Ed Reed as a coach when he retires

Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome says they could find a place for safety Ed Reed as a coach when he retires. Reed made it clear earlier in the week that he doesn’t plan on retiring along with Ray Lewis after the Super Bowl.  He says he’ll be back on the field next season. I’m not sure what kind of coach Reed would be, but the Ravens clearly believe he would be...

Hot Harbaugh on Harbaugh Action

Once the Baltimore Ravens knocked off the Denver Broncos and the possibility of a Peyton Manning versus Tom Brady AFC Championship was eliminated, the next best option for the Super Bowl immediately became a Baltimore-San Francisco match-up. In the AFC Championships second half Joe Flacco looked very Tom Brady-esque. Anquan Boldin shed years off his [...]
