According to Mike Garafolo of USA TODAY Sports, Tom Brady signed a three-year extension at $27 million, less than half than Drew Brees received in 2012. Brady, ever the consummate teammate, signed the extension to create $15 million in cap space that can be used to sign free agents such as receiver Wes Welker, cornerback Talib Aqib, and tackle Sebastian Vollmer.
