Watch this at WEEI Tom Brady on WEEI is always a must listen for me. He's been on that show for so long that he usually can get pretty candid on the show. Dennis and Callahan is always a never listen for me, except when Brady's on. Some of the more interesting things he goes into is how he says that comparing Danny Amendola to Wes Welker is unfair. He also goes into the video captured of him celebrating like it was the Super Bowl when Orb won the Kentucky Derby. It was apparently his friend that owned the horse and so they did have a rooting interest.

Tom Brady doesn’t hold a grudge against the Patriots for letting Wes Welker walk

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady told WEEI in Boston that he wasn’t surprised to see Wes Welker leave in free agency. “I don’t think anything surprises me any more in the NFL,” he said. “I’ve been around long enough to see things happen at different times with the greatest players of all, whether that’s Wes, or Randy Moss being traded from the Raiders, or Brett Favre playing...

Tom Brady on Wes Welker, Danny Amendola

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will spend this season answering Wes Welker questions. Welker has been Brady’s most reliable target over his Hall of Fame career and the two are incredibly close personally. When Welker walked out of New England under terse circumstances, Brady was the man in the middle. He spoke with WEEI, Brady was very frank. Brady also spent time...

You’re not gonna see Tom Brady cry over Wes Welker

Tom Brady is moving forward this season, his 14th with the New England Patriots, treating it not much different from others. He is putting in the hardwork, with the same drive and determination that has made him one of the all-time greats at his position. But this year will have a slightly different look than the previous five, as his favorite target, Wes Welker, is now catching...

Tom Brady: I did not demand that the Patriots keep Wes Welker

No matter how he tries to spin it, Tom Brady is not happy that the New England Patriots allowed Wes Welker to sign with the Denver Broncos this offseason. Welker had been Brady’s favorite target for six years, with the two connecting for an average of 112 passes per season. When Brady restructured his contract to give the team more cap space, we all assumed Welker’s return was...

Wes Welker: Broncos ‘in trouble’ if I have to catch 112 passes

During his time with the New England Patriots, Wes Welker was arguably the most reliable receiver in the league. The 112 passes he caught per year proved he was Tom Brady’s favorite target, but that does not mean he will serve the same role for Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Welker played alongside Randy Moss for three seasons, but he has never played with as talented a...

Wes Welker: “If I have to catch 112 balls, that probably means we’re in trouble”

Wes Welker, Demaryus Thomas and Eric Decker all caught over 80 passes last season.  All three players should expect to a dramatic reduction now that Welker came over from New England. Welker sounds like he’s fine with not catching a lot of balls this season. “If I have to catch 112 balls, that probably means we’re in trouble,” Welker said, per the Denver Post. Welker says...

The reporting of Tom Brady's comments show how absurd the off-season is.

New England Patriots fans don't get much from the players or coaches in regards to real tidbits for what they think. It's all part of The Patriot Way. Team first, stay on script, follow along with the corporate plan, and say nothing to be construed as "bulletin board material". No one is better than this than Tom Brady. (digression: maybe Belichick) Brady understands...

’15 QB Kyle Kearns has some Tom Brady in him

Michigan is dropping in on another 2015 west coast quarterback Thursday, this time in the school of Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill high school’s Kyle Kearns. GBW catches up with the signal caller to talk Wolverines, performance over the weekend, and visit plans this summer.

Brady and Amendola work on chemistry on first day of New England Patriots on field work

According to the Boston Herald Tom Brady and Danny Amendola spent extra time working together on routes and timing yesterday during the New England Patriots first day on the field together, and it seems clear that chemistry and timing with Amendola will be a primary focus of New England’s offseason. Of course, it should be - this relationship will need to succeed if the Pats hope...

Wes Welker fitting right in with Broncos

Peyton Manning is getting what he wanted in Denver all along, a faster offense. Now with even more tools to work with, the future Hall of Fame quarterback went without huddles in seven on seven drills including free agent addition Wes Welker. Welker, should have no problem picking up the offense after coming from New England and the pass happy Patriots. Going from Tom Brady to...

Urlacher recalls getting his ankles broken by Brady

For how amazing he is at the quarterback position, it is truly shocking how goofy and painfully slow Tom Brady is on the run. No matter what, it is always good for a laugh when he manages to escape the pocket on foot. Typically, it does not end well, but over the years, he has had a few shining moments on the run. The best probably being his TD scramble in the Snow Bowl (although...

Vote: Who Will Lead the Patriots in Receptions This Season?

It’s never too early to start thinking about football. The Patriots are three days into their first voluntary workouts of 2013, and one of the biggest storylines has been quarterback Tom Brady‘s chemistry with his receivers. Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd were the team’s two most productive wideouts in 2012, and both have found roster spots on other teams. The gaps have been...

Amendola not worried about Welker comparisons

All season long, New England Patriots receiver Danny Amendola will be compared to the guy he replaced in Denver Broncos receiver Wes Welker. But for now, Amendola is trying to put that aside."That's not something I need to worry about," he said Tuesday, via ESPN Boston. "I'm worried about the playbook and getting the routes down and getting on the same page...

Full Court Press: Jim Boeheim Rips the All New York Knicks Except ‘Melo, Carl Crawford & Evelyn Lozada, Tom Brady is One Lucky Dude

Click on photo to read more about Boeheim’s Comments Jim Boeheim sticking with his boy on this one. If I was going to rip the New York Knicks at this moment I would have an easy time pointing out J.R. Smith, Tyson Chandler, et. al. However, the first person I’d put on blast is Carmelo by the sheer principal he’s the star and leader of THAT team that performed THAT way vs. the...

The NFL season is still 4 months away and we’re already steering clear of the Bills (Sorry Buffalo)

The 2013 NFL season does not kick off until September, but the Patriots are already one of the hotly tipped teams to do well next season. This should hardly come as a surprise given their dominant stretch of success over the last decade plus, and despite coming up short in the AFC Title Game, New England will still be rated amongst the favorites for the conference crown, as well...
