Tom Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, received a lot of negative attention for criticizing the Patriots’ receivers after the team lost the Super Bowl. The matter dragged out for a few days, and reports said the Patriots players weren’t happy with her.

Several months later, we’re learning that Tom Brady wasn’t happy with her either, no surprise.

Tom Curran of Comcast New England wrote on Friday about a story told to him by Comcast Bay Area reporter Matt Maiocco.

Apparently Brady addressed the Gisele incident at a panel a few months ago.

“Just before she goes to bed, she says, ‘Yeah, people were following me and I just said something I shouldn’t have said,’” Brady recalled, according to the report.

He answered, “‘I don’t care really what you said. Just go to bed.’”

“I woke up the next morning, I tapped her on the shoulder [and asked], ‘Why did you say that?’ She was talking about the best player on our team, Wes Welker, yeah. That was my most recent memory.”

As if losing the Super Bowl in heartbreaking fashion wasn’t enough, Brady had to deal with that mess. Things between Gisele and Welker (and presumably Tom) reportedly are cool now, but that video will likely linger.

  • EVERYONE said it! WASN't just Gisele! jeSus!
  • No Big Deal.... Well except for this Media tool. Welker catches that pass ( he has made tougher catches ) and Game over. Oh well Patriots with 5 Super Bowls in past 11 years ( 3 wins ) Haters gonna Hate. You wish your team was there - lol. Brady for every bad game he has ever had, he has had 35 great games. Career record 118 & 38 Best ever Percentage with over 100 wins. Amazzzing
  • Otto Graham had a career 105-17-4 record leading the Cleveland Browns to the League Championship each of his ten seasons - winning on seven occasions (He also would win one basketball title with the Rochester Royals).
  • Three cheers for those comments. Graham was truly one of the greats if not the greatest.
  • Patricheat fans always try to ignore the 600 lb gorilla in the room: The fact that after they were caught cheating, they are 0-2 in Super Bowls.
If the pats didn't have a field goal kicker worth a damn they would be 0 & forever in Super Bowls!!
At least Brady's old lady has the ball$ to tell the truth!
  • Really, you are in idiot. When the Saints have a 21 game winning streak, an 18 game winning streak, make it to 5 Super Bowls in 10 years, go 10 - 6 with a QB that hasn't played since HS then open your mouth. The Patriots are one of the best organizations in professional sports. The only gorilla in the room is your jealousy!
  • I would think that taking out bounties on opposing players is more of a 600 lb gorilla than videotaping.
  • No, I would definately say that videotaping teams playcalling signals so you know what they are going to run...you know cheating, is much worse than telling players you will give them money if they hit someone really hard...you know playing defense.
  • Seriously the whole "cheating" excuse is gettiing old..every single team in the NFL videotapes other teams signals, even Jimmy johnson said so...The Patriots just happened to do it from the Jets sideline..THAT is the rule they broke..if they had done it from the stands, it would not have been an issue..
  • Lol

coming from a Saints fan who got caught this year "taking out" players from the other team

guess we have two 600 lb gorrilas here
  • OMG - I don't even care about the rest of it - I am still laughing about 0 & forever - you really did make me laugh out loud - thank you for that
  • Yo Tom, admit it...your boy should have caught the pass!! He knows it, the coaches know it, the city knows it, even your crazy German/Brazilian wife knows it!! She may have been out of line saying it in public...but really who's to blame? Your boy, Welker!!!
  • A wife who loves her husband and wants to protect him in the process criticizes the best receiver in the NFL We all agree this was wrong. Wes Welker did drop a catch that thrown to him again he would catch a hundred times out of a hundred. It is a sad story I am sure that Tom’s good lady has learned from this and I am sure that Wes is a nice enough man to forgive and all three can move on.
  • She simply said what everybody else was thinking. Not necessarily a criticism of the best slot receiver in the world, just the naked and painful truth
  • Difference in this game was simply a couple of dropped balls they normally catch. Imagine if Gronk was healthy. Game wouldn't have even been close.
  • I agree...Pats win that game if Gronk is healthy...i also agree with what Gisle said, however, Welker is not the only culrpit. Brady threw some ****** passes at key times and probably the biggest let down was HERNADNDEZ!!!
  • The way Brady's wife came down on Welker, one would think Welker had the stone hands of Finley or something. He doesn't.... Gisele woulda been best to leave the football to her husband, and stick her nose/mouth into something she was more knowledgeable about. Besides, in trying to "protect him" she essentially ended up embarassing him.

He's one of the top QBs, people aren't going to assume that he's a nobody simply because Welker dropped 1 pass outa how many others.... If Brady were to remain silent at this point, and with the team upset, it'd almost start to leave the impression that she wears the pants in that house hold, and the QB has no stones when it comes to his own home life. Probably not the image he'd want, as a football player....
  • Listen. She didn't play in the game so she remnains a non factor...the dropped ball was a tough catch---he doesn't make it 100 out of a 100 times--no way. He had to turn backwards and reach high up to snag the throw---it wasn't in his numbers. Let me focus on the new star---Eli...and the job his great receivers did during that game. The best team won, face it. All of this other garbage takes away from the fact that the Brady Bunch aren't champs anymore---and yes,it appears that they may have cheated in past years... 'Belicheat' that is. Giants are the champs...you tell 'em Gazelle.
  • I didn't know that his wife is a animal! LOL It's Gisele.
  • How can this pooch be the world's highest-paid model?
  • Amen to that?? howl at the moon!
  • If the Pats had won, for sure their fans would not have been taunting Eli's wife on her way to meet him...they are the real idiots with no class, not Brady's wife who finally spoke up & said what we all were thinking. Even tho we love Welker, the truth is the truth.
  • She's Brady's wife at the games, not a model. She should have kept her mouth shut, especially publicly. She deserved the flack! Personally, can't see why she's such a "hot model". Her face is butt ugly. So now she's prego to insure her husband sticks around, heh?
  • "Personally, can't see why she's such a "hot model". Her face is butt ugly(i fully agree). So now she's prego to insure her husband sticks around, heh? (it sure didn't work out that way for Bridget Moynahan)
  • I totally agree. However, she's richer than he is - she's on her way to become the first ever supermodel to reach the Billion dollar mark. So have some respect, LOL.
  • my comment removed, so here goes again...."Personally, can't see why she's such a "hot model". Her face is butt ugly. (i agree) So now she's prego to insure her husband sticks around, heh?" (it sure didn't work out that way for Bridget Moynahan and her brady bas**rd kid)
  • Guys would simply quote the Duke and say, "a man's gotta do (say) what a man's gotta do (say)." Give the lady a break, she called it like she saw it ... Welker blew the catch; man up and go home. Tom's a wussy for not just telling his wife, "good call" but next time, say it to me first! Welker's a good ball player ... we all make mistakes; let's move on.
  • you people talk about 1 play in the superbowl. what about the 80 other plays that could of changed the game. and as far as brady winning 3 superbowls and being at 5 hell the whole world knows the 1st superbowl he should never been there. i am an eagles fans but ill tell u all that tuck rule is the worst call in a football game ive ever seen. tom brady himself said that was a fumble. that should of been oaklands superbowl rich gannon won that game in my books. chuckie aka grudin would of never left oakland then cause he would of stayed to defend there superbowl vicktory.
  • victory
  • Are they getting a divorce over this? Then who gives a rats A$$!!!
  • a person who has never been a wide receiver has no idea how hard it is and is in no position to give instructions
  • look at that pic! and the morons in the media keep calling her a "super model"?? jessica alba, kate beckinsale, charlize theron, kristen bell, etc put gisele bunchahype TO SHAME!
  • Right on ! I never did get it with her, she really is not that great looking!!! His previous gal friend (BM) is much better looking!
  • Jizzhell needs to stick to showing her @$$ in he underwear and let Tom worry out what happens on the football field!
  • Much like Actors shouldn't comment on Politics, Super-Models shouldn't comment on Sports!
