Tom Coughlin has a short media session today and the team will be off the next few days due to the bye. Q: How is Prince Amukamara? A: He is coming along. If he stays on schedule, he will start to do some things once we resume. Q: Do you think he will play when you come back? A: I have no idea. We will have to wait and see. Q: Did Chris Snee have his exam today? A: He is having it as we speak, I think. I don’t know the total picture on that. Q: How is Brandon Jacobs doing? A: He is doing alright but there are some things that they are trying to get under control. He actually feels pretty good but there is still some work to do. Q: Is this a more difficult year to be a coach with the new rules of practicing and training camp? A: There is a lot of things to be adjusted to but once it starts, it starts and you just go from there. Do you get the same benefit from a jog through and a practice versus two practices, I don’t think so. That is my opinion. Q: Did the bye come at a good tim...

Craig Carton interrupts Tom Coughlin

Tom Coughlin ran a little long on WFAN this morning answering a question about former players criticizing current ones - a topic I wrote about here today - so co-host Craig Carton interrupted him.

Tom Coughlin Post Game Comments

The Giants played another back-and- forth game today at MetLife Stadium, but this time they came away winners. Coach Tom Coughlin on being 4-2 at the bye: I would like to be 6-0, but this is a hard-earned win. To be 4-2 right now and have the bye and to be an optimist if I may, maybe we do get some guys back after this two week period. That can help us. You have to take your hat...

Coughlin: "Why let a play like that go by?"

One of the questions I meant to ask Tom Coughlin yesterday in the Bills roundup but forgot to was about his challenge on the Mario Manningham play in the end zone. He said after the game that knew the rule (“blah, blah, blah”) and knew that he would not win the challenge, but he did it anyway. In a game that was increasingly coming down to the fourth quarter, why burn a...

Bradshaw, Tynes lift Giants past Bills 27-24

The New York Giants and Buffalo Bills are both heading into their bye week in good shape, though Tom Coughlin's team is probably going to enjoy it a little more after walking off with a win.

Giants CB Prince Amukamara Could Return To Practice Next Week

Prince Amukamara is making strides in his return from a broken foot. He will participate in individual drills next week when the Giants return to practice from their bye week. And there is a strong chance that he will also participate in full team activities as well. The cornerback put those odds at 80 percent that he would practice. "I just know that I’m making progress,"...

Giants in first place with cavalry coming to help

Heading into the bye week, the banged-up New York Giants are surprisingly in first place in the NFC East with much-needed reinforcements seemingly on the horizon. Defensive captain Justin Tuck, Pro Bowl guard Chris Snee, first-round draft pick Prince Amukamara, backup running back Brandon Jacobs and receiver Ramses Barden all might be ready to return when the Giants (4-2) face the...

Giants Look to Get Some Troops Back After Bye

The Giants had five players inactive for last Sunday’s game vs Buffalo: DE Justin Tuck, OL Chris Snee, RB Brandon Jacobs, FB Henry Hynoski and CB Prince Amukamara. The Giants are hopeful that they will have most – if not all – of those players back for their Week 8 game vs Miami. In addition, WR Ramses Barden and OL Adam Koets are eligible to return from the PUP list beginning...
