There is no argument when it comes to head coaches in the NFL, Mike Tomlin is at the top of the class, but his decision making this Sunday may have cost the Pittsburgh Steelers an important win. During the fourth quarter against the Baltimore Ravens it was apparent Byron Leftwich was in pain. There were times where Leftwich would adjust his pads and pull at them trying to separate them from his ribs. There were also times that he grimaced and  appeared to be in pain after throwing a pass. With a pass rush like the Ravens, it was only a matter of time until Leftwich would be hurt even more. On a 3rd and 11 the Ravens sent James Ihedigbo on a corner blitz and drilled Leftwich from behind.… Read more

  • Tomlin is a jerk. He couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. Any idiot could see Leftwich was in pain and had restricted ability to throw(our idiot was oblivious). That whole fourth quarter was Tomlin inability to coach and see what it takes to win.
  • Amen! He has shown an inability to make the right or even common sense decisions. He needs to go now!
  • I feel like the Steelers season is over. There is no way we will go into Baltimore and beat the Ravens on their home field. Tomlin needs to use Batch or start recruiting for another back- up quarterback. Its gonna be a long off -season
  • Am I just blind or did i see Mike Adams get beat on all night with a little or mostly no help probably would have a heathy b. Leftwich I beleive that Lega. is still on team give Mike help until he gets use to speed of the NFl.
  • Tomlin is not a very good coach contrary to how people think. Leftwich is a terrible quarterback, who has seen better days. The season is over for the Steelers and they should think about relasing the overpaid Mendenhall and Wallace. James Harris said that the Steelers have 2 quarterbacks that are as good if not better than Rothisberger. He must be smoking the loco weed.
  • Just worry about your own team.
  • byron is a bum ...he had no business starting...he have 2 left feet...and he throw from his ankles...all the time that why he didnt stay with tampa bay...he is a bum
  • I'm a Cleve native, just about to be a turncoat when Tomlin showed his true side, his complete dismissal of Leftwich's injuries was disgusting, who the hell does he think he is??!!
  • Perhaps I don't understand some nuances, but I did not like the play calling from the Steelers. Wallace is a gifted athlete but to me, it looked like his head was not in the game. Byron is not as good a quarterback as Ben, don't play him like he is. I don't think Baltimore is one of the best teams currently. Without the special teams touchdown, they would have ended the game with only 2 field goals to show for scoring.
  • I think Tomlin forgets that he is the ooach and the QB is the player,, since he does what they think.. I got a bigger gripe with the Steelers signing Burris,, he had his opportunities and he blew them,, they got Moyer on the practice squad who is just as tall and probably faster,, why didn't he get a shot,,maybe because he is white,,

Steelers Offense Never Had Any Short Fields To Work With Against Ravens

Prior to the game Sunday night I wrote about how the Pittsburgh Steelers offense would need a few short fields to work with in order to beat the Baltimore Ravens. Those short fields never materialized. Whether it be by turnover or by return, the offense was going to need help as I knew it would be asking too much to continually to expect quarterback Byron Leftwich to drive long...

Ravens, Steelers play even in third quarter

Not too much action in the third quarter of the rivalry game between the Ravens and Steelers. The Ravens couldn’t take advantage of a Byron Leftwich interception, but were still able to come up with a 39-yard field goal by Justin Tucker. The Steelers weren’t able to get in the end zone on a stout Ravens’ defense. They had to settle for a Shaun Suisham field goal. At the end...
