It’s been three NFL season since Tony Gonzalez played for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was coming off a huge season in 2008 when he had 96 grabs for 1,058 yards and 10 TDs. It was also time to finally cash in and make some serious money as a free agent. He was living in this K.C. condo and about to sign a $17.75mm guaranteed contract with the Falcons.

But Tony still has ties to K.C. that he just can’t seem to rid himself of. That condo at The Hemingway. It’s still on the market and his asking price is sinking by the month. Just last week, the Gonzalez’s decided to drop the asking price another $25,000, making the new price $625,000.

It’s so sad to see professional athletes losing it all in this down economy. Tony is just another victim of a horrible condo market. (Maybe someone should tell Tony to replace those giant bathroom bulbs. Total buzzkill.)

Tony Gonzalez K.C. Condo Facts:

• 3 bed, 2 bath

• Luxurious living in an old building with old people from K.C.

• Wine cooler

• Looks like granite counters

• Open floor plan perfect for pool table, 72-inch LED

• Will rent it for $3,500/per mo.

Asking: $625,000

Mortgage: $3,600 with 20% down (condo association fees N.A.)
