TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles
Job security in the NFL is nonexistent for just about anyone. The turnover at every position from the front office to the field is proof enough of that.
Sometimes, however, the heat gets kicked up a few degrees, and for a pair of NFC East teams, things are getting real hot.
Both the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles have undereachieved this season, and both look to be in trouble. Most notably, head coaches Jason Garrett and Andy Reid, could be looking for work in the near future. But a lot of that stems from the poor quarterback play they've gotten out of Tony Romo and Michael Vick respectively.
All four find themselves among this week's top NFL prop bets.

“The Old Michael Vick” Returning For Week 9?
Michael Vick told reporters that he plans on getting “back to being the old Michael Vick.“
“I’ve got to play the game and leave it all out on the field and play aggressive and shoot it and run the ball when I feel there is a need to,” said Vick, via Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly. “If I get a seam, get a crack, take it. Just do what I’ve been born to do, blessed to do...
Vick, Romo, Sanchez a trio bland
There was a time not too long ago when having Mike Vick, Tony Romo or Mark Sanchez as your quarterback was considered living well in the NFL. Now it is like the sports version of marry, boff, kill.
If you had to choose one to build your franchise around, one to win a single game and death is not an option (neither is abstaining) whom do you go with?
Be careful with quick answers...
Eagles QB Michael Vick Denies Any Issues With Coaching Staff
Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports recently reported that there has been tension between Michael Vick and Eagles assistant coaches.
One of the internal issues was tension between Vick and the coaching staff, with the quarterback believing some of the assistant coaches were pushing to have him benched, according to a source familiar with the situation, Cole wrote.
Today, Vick denied...
2 quarterbacks, 2 increasingly desperate teams
Michael Vick and Drew Brees came into the NFL the same year.
Now, they're in the same predicament.
Both are the quarterbacks of increasingly desperate teams, the season teetering on the edge of collapse.
Brees has essentially become a one-man show for the New Orleans Saints (2-5), who are plagued by a historically leaky defense and anemic running game.
For Vick, the stakes...
Andy Reid says benching Mike Vick was never an option

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid addressed the media on Thursday following the unconventional move on Wednesday of issuing a statement in support of quarterback Mike Vick.

How the Philadelphia Eagles Measure-Up to ESPN’s Super Bowl Formula
Are the Philadelphia Eagles a Super Bowl team? Is Michael Vick good enough to be considered a potential Super Bowl-winning quarterback?
We’ve all thought and talked about these types of things for a while now. The ultimate goal of every NFL team is to win the Super Bowl. Numerous things usually have to fall in place for a team to succeed in its goal.

Cowboys look to spoil Falcons' 7-0 record
IRVING, Texas -- The error-prone Cowboys haven't been good enough to bob over .500 and are 0-7 in their last seven Sunday night games. This week's Sunday night foe, Atlanta, has been so crisp through seven games that the Falcons have yet to lose. And yet Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is willing to "guarantee" a win for Dallas as long as you hear the "if"...
Michael Vick says he’s ready to make a playoff run
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick told Sal Paolantonio that he’s “ready to make a playoff run. One play at a time. One game time.”
I’ll believe Vick is ready once he stops taking so many hits and turning the ball over. He should be able to take advantage of a horrible Saints defense this week.

Caplan: Eagles' issues don't come with quick fix
PHILADELPHIA -- This was supposed to be a season of redemption and hope for the Philadelphia Eagles after a disappointing 2011. This was going to be a season in which the Philadelphia faithful finally would be rewarded for its seemingly enduring patience. Instead, the Eagles have posted a 3-4 record, leaving many to question how this team could underachieve so badly. The reasons...
Dallas Cowboys: Top 5 Reasons They'll Miss The Playoffs
One of those seasons for the Dallas Cowboys. Currently one game under-.500, the Cowboys head to the Georgia Dome to face the lone undefeated team in the National Football League on Sunday. Do not expect America’s Team to snatch a road loss. Furthermore, the Cowboys will miss the playoffs for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Here is why.1. As noted earlier this year, the...
Eagles-Saints Preview
The Philadelphia Eagles have a quarterback and a coach both likely playing for their jobs. The New Orleans Saints are off to their worst start in the Drew Brees era following the best regular season in franchise history.

Your Week 9 NFL Announcing Schedule
Is it just me, or has this week been the most pointless quarterback controversy in NFL history, with Michael Vick indeed still the starting quarterback in Philadelphia after never being benched. When he throws for 400 yards Monday night against one of the worst defenses in NFL history, we'll all look back at this week and chuckle.

Mid-year Review
We've learned a lot over the first 8 weeks. Some items have been great - some not so great. Here are some of the tidbits we've learned along the way:
If Roddy White has a big game, Julio Jones will struggle (and vice versa).
Cam Newton. Matt Stafford, and Michael Vick have not played up to our draft expectations but that should change this week.
DeAngelo Williams and...
