Found August 01, 2012 on 60 Max Power O:
Last season there were a significant amount of fantasy football players who simply did not perform quite the way we all thought they were going to. We can attribute this to perhaps a shortened off-season thanks to the CBA debacle or just the player being in a crappy situation that nobody saw coming, but either way, a certain percentage of these players are certainly due for a “bounce-back” 2012 campaign. And potential “bounce-back” candidates are just as important as fantasy sleepers. In a new series I am starting, I’ll try and isolate five players at QB, WR, RB, TE, and perhaps IDP that could be in-line for a bounce-back year; players I think you should know about—we’ll start with the coveted WRs. DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles DeSean Jackson has technically been taking a step backwards since his phenomenal 2009 season (63 catches, 1,167 yards, 9 TDs, five 100+ yards games). In 2010, Jackson missed two games that could’ve helped him eclipse his 2009 season, but i...

Irsay: A legacy in transition

This offseason Jim Irsay, one of the league's most endearing, strange owners did the unthinkable: he dismissed one of the league's greatest talent evaluators and let a future Hall-of-Fame quarterback walk. He imploded the roster of beloved veterans choosing to start fresh with a new general manager, quarterback and coach. Some have questioned his intentions as well as his...

Talib focused on getting back to football

TAMPA, Fla. Gray skies and a refreshing summer shower greeted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they walked off the practice field Wednesday morning following another grueling training camp workout. It was a welcome relief from the stifling heat and humidity. And it had to feel especially good to cornerback Aqib Talib considering the heat of a different sort hed faced for more than...

Ben Ijalana, AJ Edds Lost for the Season to Knee Injuries

The Indianapolis Colts put on pads for the first time in 2012 today at Anderson University. Normally, that’s when injuries start to occur, but for the Colts, they lost two players for the season on Sunday’s first day with non-contact injuries. Offensive lineman Ben Ijalana and linebacker AJ Edds will be lost for the season, head coach Chuck Pagano confirmed after practice...

A Blast From the Past: Talking to Tony Dungy

As we've been doing all week, we bring to you another interview from Nate Dunlevy's fully inclusive coverage of the Colts' training camp.  Today, we bring you some quotes from the legendary coach Tony Dungy, who stopped by the Colts' training camp to talk to Coach Pagano and Jim Irsay, on the request of the eccentric owner. Dungy was asked to come and give some...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Greg Schiano Runs Tight Ship

Greg Schiano has a plan. Whether or not it will work remains to be seen, but make no mistake about it -- he's has a plan. The only thing straighter than the crease in Schiano's khakis could be that marine-like jaw. That, or his approach towards people. Not just players or coaches, but people in general.  I recently had the pleasure of meeting coach Schiano, face to face...

Colts coach gives Luck jersey to Steelers fan

He might be a pretty harsh critic of impromptu music, but say this about Chuck Pagano: he’s establishing a brand with the Colts. During Monday’s training camp practice, the first-year coach was notified by safety Tom Zbikowski that one attending fan (if you could call him that) was wearing a Steelers jersey. The fan in question was Zach Simmons, a 24-year-old who was only there...

Colts' Ijalana, Edds suffer torn ACLs

Colts offensive lineman Ben Ijalana and linebacker A.J. Edds have both suffered season-ending torn anterior cruciate knee ligaments. It's the latest setback for Ijalana, a second-round pick last year who tore the same left ACL in his fourth game as a rookie. "You hate to lose anybody in camp or at any time during the season, especially Ben," coach Chuck Pagano said...

Former Bronco Doug Martin Impressing Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It looks like we were correct in our analysis of Doug Martin.  Early into camp Martin is impressing the coaching staff and players. "He made some explosive runs (Sunday) where you really see why they drafted him so high," guard Davin Joseph said. "He reminds you of a Ray Rice or Maurice Jones-Drew. He's very crafty and he really understands the run game."...

Colts' pass-rush tandem embraces position change

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer Dwight Freeney thought he had seen everything in the NFL. Then came June, when he lined up during a minicamp and realized he was covering Pro Bowl receiver Reggie Wayne. Freeney shook his head in disbelief and Wayne just laughed. As part of the Colts' massive offseason overhaul, defensive players are getting a crash course...

Eagles trade linebackers to Colts to get CB Thomas

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired cornerback Kevin Thomas and a conditional seventh-round draft pick in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts that sent linebackers Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd to the Colts. Colts general manager Ryan Grigson had been the Eagles director of player personnel before being hired by Indianapolis in January, and this is the second trade he's made with...

Eagles trade LBs to Colts for Thomas

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded linebackers Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd to the Indianapolis Colts for cornerback Kevin Thomas and a conditional seven-round pick in the 2013 draft. Thomas, a third-round pick in 2010, played in nine games last season with the Colts, starting five. He had 33 tackles and three knockdowns. Thomas spent his rookies season on injured reserve because...

AP Pro32 comments about Buccaneers

Comments on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses): TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (26) Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 21): Another potential bounce-back team. Bucs were much better than they played year ago, and added more talent than any other team in offseason. Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 22): From 4-12 to 8-8 in one season under Schiano...
