Seahawks Show Interest In Owens

The Seattle Seahawks are now officially on the list of possible destinations for veteran wide receiver Terrell Owens. Rumors have linked TO to Cleveland, Washington, Oakland, and a possible reunion in Buffalo, now Seattle. NFL.com reported yesterday that Seattle had expressed interest in Owens. True, it’s preliminary interest, but this is the first time a team has actually expressed interest amid all the offseason rumors. But as Eric Williams writes, Don’t bet on it. I totally agree. The Seahawks are filled at the WR position with veterans Deion Branch, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Reggie Williams,reclamation project Mike Williams, and newly draft Golden Tate. Owens, 36, would have a hard time getting on the field and even though he’s tempered his attitude as of late, he would be an unwelcome distraction for Pete Carroll and Seattle.
