The trade deadline is quickly approaching come Week 8 of the season. Bleacher Report put out an article putting together some possible moves the Patriots could make. That got me to thinking. Now we all know Bill isn't too fond of making big midseason acquisitions, the last being trading away Randy Moss and bringing back Dion Branch. However, with some of the woes and holes in this Patriots team (*cough* defense *cough*) it may not be too bad an idea. Here are some of my ideas as to how this can go down.First up on the chopping block is Kyle Arrington. I agree with Oliver here (Bleacher Report); he needs to go. After his breakout 2011 season with 7 picks, he has begun to regress and become more of a liability than a reliable starter. This past Sunday against Seattle he was actually benched for his poor play and replaced by rookie Alfonso Dennard. Look how that turned out... but I digress. Before Arrington get's any worse, he needs to be traded for a maximum value, even though ...

The New England Patriots lost three players Sunday,
including wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, during their loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Lloyd’s shoulder injury isn’t expected to be serious, reports Jeff Howe of the
Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd left late, but it didn’t appear to be anything
concerning. That will need to be monitored going forward...
Wes Welker has led the NFL in receptions since 2007, but will Julian Edelman take his spot next season?Everyone knows Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker is unhappy with the Pats for the way they have been treating their contract negotiations with him. This past weekend, Welker went as far to say it felt good to “stick it to Bill” after he contributed 13 receptions for 104 yards...

The Seahawks came back to beat to beat the Patriots 24-23 on Sunday, much to the delight of Richard Sherman. Sherman, a second-year corner from Stanford, intercepted Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the third quarter. His teammate, safety Earl Thomas, turned the trick in the fourth quarter. The two picks plus the team’s comeback prompted Sherman to gloat about beating Brady through...
New England QB Tom Brady threw a season-high two interceptions and turned in his lowest QB rating of the year Sunday in a one-point loss to the Seahawks.Fantasy Spin:Despite the uneven performance, Brady still managed to throw for 300 yards passing, the fourth time he's been able to accomplish that in his last five starts.
Shortly before the season began, Rex Ryan ruffled a few feathers by declaring himself the best defensive mind in football, eschewing the likes of Bill Belichick and Dick LeBeau.
When it comes to being a head coach, however, he admits there’s no contest.
“If it was just between (Bill) Belichick and me, he’s going to win that battle,” Ryan said, via ESPNNewYork.com. “I don’t...
The New England Patriots are just 3-3 and the poor play of their secondary is a big reason.
Only four teams have allowed more yards passing than the Patriots after they gave up completions of 51, 50 and 46 yards in a 24-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks Sunday.
That continues a trend in which the Patriots allowed the second most yards passing in the NFL last season - even though...

Florham Park, N.J.: Let's not waste time about how "big" or "important" this game is for the New York Jets. We get it, it's New England. No need for Rex Ryan and Bill Belichick comparisons, or how Rex speaks as if him and Belichick will be on the field taking snaps on Sunday.Let's point out something that, may be obvious, but at the same time, isn...

How are we all feeling this Monday? Stupid question. Every New England Patriots fan is feeling pretty pissed right now. After a very promising 2 game win streak, we've been rocked by this defeat to the Seattle Seahawks. I came out of last weeks win vs the Denver Broncos uneasy due to our 4th quarter struggles. This resurfaced during the whole second half. This was not the Patriots...
