Waiting For Next Year:
Rob Chudzinski’s first training camp as a head coach is officially underway. The Browns practiced in front of a slightly subdued crowd for most of the evening session. That is until the local boy turned head coach ran down the sidelines slapping high fives and interacting with the 2,692 fans assembled.
“We have a long way to go and a lot of work to do, but you have to take a first step to do that and we took the first step today.” said Chudzinski after his first practice was complete.
For Rob growing up in Ohio as a Browns fan, this practice was a special one. “It was awesome.” Said Chudzinski, “Looking out and seeing some of those young faces out there with their Browns jerseys on and knowing how much it meant to me and how much it means to them.”
One of the biggest questions coming into the first practice was how Trent Richardson would look coming off multiple injuries last season. The answer is pretty good. Richardson was quick and looked confident running and changing direction....

It doesn’t take much reading between the lines to see the excitement on David Nelson’s twitter as he’s apparently been cleared to play football. The former Florida Gator and Buffalo Bill was out almost all of last season after tearing a knee ligament in early September.

The Cleveland Browns today added a pair of free agents with camp starting tomorrow.
On the heels of Norv Turner’s admission Tuesday that the team will carry a traditional fullback, the Browns signed FB Brock Bolen to compete with Owen Marecic.
In addition, the team signed LB Justin Cole. To make room, the Browns waived OL Dominic Alford and WR Kennan Davis.
Here is the information...
Cleveland Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson doesn’t think that WR Josh Gordon is standing on firm ground with the team. Last week Gordon made a statement saying he ‘had his priorities in order,’ but his teammate thinks otherwise.
"No matter how many bodies you put in front of him or people who speak to him, Josh has to be willing to make a change for himself,"...
The Cleveland Browns have signed linebacker Justin Cole and fullback Brock Bolen, according to the teams’ official website. To make room for the pair the team released receiver Keenan Davis and offensive linemen Dominic Alford. Cole appeared in all 16 games last year for the Rams mostly contributing on special teams. Bolen last played in the NFL in 2011 when he appeared in 13 games...

The first day for the team in full pads will be on Saturday. Remember, inclement weather could force the team indoors, which would close practice to the public. BEREA -- Browns CEO is very optimistic that the Browns are poised to turn things around for the long haul. In a meeting with the local media on the Browns practice field in Berea, Banner answered questions for over 20 minutes regarding the Browns this year and the future. He also talked about the lawsuits against Pilot Flying J and his perception on how that will affect Jimmy Haslam...
This will be a big change for the Browns this season as the one area that has been the most consistent since the Browns returned in 1999 has been the specialists. Phil Dawson had been the kicker since 1999 and the Browns punting situation has consistently been one of the team's stronger areas with the likes of Chris Gardocki, Dave Zastudil and Reggie Hodges manning the duties...
Browns CEO Joe Banner says he can't envision a scenario in which owner Jimmy Haslam sells his NFL franchise.
Haslam, who bought the Browns last year, is under federal investigation for fraud at his Pilot Flying J truck-stop chain. He recently reached a settlement with some customers who were cheated out of rebate money.
Banner said the ongoing investigation has not interrupted...
BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Brandon Weeden says he's a changed quarterback.
A wide-eyed rookie last year, Weeden says he feels "like a completely different player" as he enters his second NFL season with Cleveland. The 29-year-old had an up-and-down first season, but a coaching change, a revamped offense to suit his strengths and a new outlook have Weeden feeling confident...
Yes ladies and gentlemen, you read that right, the 1948 Cleveland Browns (not the 1972 Miami Dolphins) are America‘s first undefeated and untied professional football team. I thought I would break out of my shell and talk about a team that had to take a cheap shot from a fan that in his will took a cheap shot at one of America’s most historic teams.
Now I know there are going...
