It came down to thinking about the opportunity that I had to play football and how fortunate I am to play football. The contract situation is going to be lengthy, the same situation it was in the spring. I decided to come out here to play with my teammates, and it is important that we have that camaraderie. That was my decision.
On whether he felt that there was nothing that could be gained from a holdout…
Absolutely, that’s the way I felt. Me holding out didn’t give me anything with the contract negotiation. I came out here to play football and have good faith, round two. Hopefully things work out for the best.
