PLAYERS: Brady Quinn
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
There’s been an odd amount of blowback over Michael Silver’s GQ feature about Tim Tebow’s first year as an NFL starter, especially since it was a mostly complimentary piece about the Runslinger tent revival phenomenon. Still, it contained just the right amount of criticism (to be precise, ANY amount of criticism) to set off a massive wave of Tebowtard wrath. Not only that, but those concerned with things like fairness in journalism tsk-tsked Silver for not giving career pissboy Brady Quinn an honest portrayal in the piece. Such outrage has transformed Silver’s Twitter feed, typically an array of homeristic boasts about Cal Bears athletics, into a stream of defensive comments from the writer and douchey retweets from Silver fans who wished they had haters like their favorite football columnist. Ha ha, using the most inflammatory quotes and ignoring the rest isn’t how journalism works. That’s how Rock Bottom works. Take it from me, a failed journalist! Look, I don’t care that Sil...

Brady Quinn shows bad decision making

Brady Quinn recently sat down with Yahoo! NFL columnist Mike Silver for an article to appear in GQ magazine.Although the interview has not hit the presses yet, snippets were leaked. And none of it is flattering for Quinn. Although I'm sure there is a larger back story, the parts that were leaked are solely about Tim Tebow, because that's what the article is about. If there...

Brady Quinn says Tim Tebow doesn’t seem very humble

Anything Brady Quinn says about Tim Tebow should be taken with a grain of salt. If Quinn were not bitter toward Tebow for the way things have gone in Denver, that would be a bit of a surprise. Quinn still wants a chance to start in the NFL, and Tebow came out of nowhere and jumped him on the depth chart and completely stole the show in Denver. While people tend to praise Tebow for...

Broncos coach John Fox says Brady Quinn’s Tebow-related comments were “lost in translation”

Broncos backup QB Brady Quinn told the truth, offering his thoughts on starter Tim Tebow. Quinn told GQ’s Mike Silver that Tebow’s praying “doesn’t seem very humble.” Ouch. Quinn apologized to Tebow, saying his comments were misconstrued. Just now, Broncos coach John Fox addressed the topic, saying all was well. “Knowing their relationship, knowing about Brady and Tim...

The moment the GQ article where Brady Quinn said some not so nice things about Tim Tebow hit the internet, the countdown began for Quinn to either apologize or say he was misquoted. Quinn did both on his Twitter page yesterday afternoon. “The comments attributed to me in a recent magazine article are in NO WAY reflective of my opinion of Tim and the Broncos. Tim deserves a lot...
