Travis Benjamin caught two passes for 44 yards with a touchdown in the Browns’ Week 3 loss to the Bills. Benjamin’s first career touchdown was a pretty 22-yard strike where he burned Stephon Gilmore to the left corner of the endzone which had the Browns within three points in the third quarter. However, he continues to play behind Greg Little, Mo Massaquoi and Josh Gordon.  Benjamin played High School Football at Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, Florida and then at the University of Miami.  His nickname is the “Belle Glade Blur” due to his quickness.

At the “U” Benjamin was an electrifying return man, and deep route receiver, he looked good but could have had a few more receptions where he dropped a couple easy passes. He will need to stay focused if he wants to climb the depth chart ladder.

Coach Sam on Greg Little: “Get the Job Done and Stop the BS”

Guys like Greg Little who drop the ball yet do a dance while we’re 0-3? I would sit his ass down and tell him, ‘listen my friend, there’s no I in team, but there’s two I’s in “idiot.” Get the job done and stop the B.S.’ – Fomer Cleveland Browns head coach Sam Rutigliano, in an interview on 92.3 The Fan, when asked what he would do with wide receiver Greg Little...

Browns lose as a team to Bills 24-14

The Cleveland Browns just weren’t good enough today. The defense wasn’t great, but they consistently gave the Browns’ offense a chance to win. The Browns’ offense showed some flashes but either shot themselves in the foot or had some calls work against them. There is no giant goat for this one. This was just a team loss all the way around, from the get go. It was made even...

Brandon Weeden: “We’ve got to start faster, and that’s on us.”

Brandon Weeden after the Browns’ 24-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills- “I think, and I’m speaking offensively, we started too slow. I think after a week like we had last week, that’s disappointing. I think that’s the difference in some of these games. I think you just can’t be where we were in the first half, 0-5 or 0-6 on third down and doing some things early and expect...

First and Ten - Thank you, replacement refs

1) Nothing like a good controversy to take the focus off the local bad team. Midday Monday the Browns were struggling to explain another 0-3 start -- the fourth in the last five seasons -- and dropped passes and poor defense and all that stuff theyve been trying to explain for 13 years. But shortly after midnight Monday the focus became the scabs err replacement refs who botched...

Just 50 Carries in, Trent Richardson is a Leader in Cleveland

While Greg Little is preening and posing amidst a 14-point deficit and a shower of hashtags, Browns running back Trent Richardson is mostly stoic and calculated. Certainly, when Richardson crosses the goal line as he has twice in his very young career, he exudes a level of energy that is matched only by Cleveland fans watching the plays as they unfold. But until that moment when...

Browns make switch at safety against Bills

Browns safety Usama Young will start against Buffalo in place of Eric Hagg, who was beaten for a touchdown pass last week in Cincinnati. Young, who started eight games last season, has yet to play a defensive snap this season. Hagg started Cleveland's first two games. He gave up a 44-yard TD pass in the 34-27 loss to the Bengals. Browns tight end Alex Smith was also inactive...

Week 3 Open Thread: Browns vs. Bills

A huge game in many ways for the Browns moving forward as they host the Buffalo Bills in Cleveland this afternoon. The Browns will look to keep up their offense rhythm from last week’s loss to the Bengals while also hopefully improving a bit on the defensive side. From the leadership side of things, many are already saying how bad a loss would be for the combination of Mike...

Save us Jimmy, you're the Browns only hope

Jimmy won't be taking losing sitting down for long. Are you watching this, Jimmy Haslam? Do you taste the bitter gruel that Browns fans have been choking down for what seems like forever? Sunday's loss against Buffalo was classic New Browns: Take a decent amount of momentum from the week before and have that small bit of impetus come to a crashing halt during a...
